SR I need turbo advice!!!!! I have searched!!!

So far i have narrowed it down to either the gt28r and the gt2871r. I am completely stuck on my decision.I have an s13 redtop(stock head gasket) 440 injectors (s15 injectors), and power fc.

I am looking to make around 280rwhp for now, would the gt2871 be too overkill?

I like keeping my options open, and with the t28 i feel im setting my limits at 300rwhp. at least with the gt2871, i can throw on some bigger injectors, cams, and head gasket to make an easy 350rwhp

My #1 goal is reliability

IMO - both turbos are reliable.

Pick the 2871.

I say the GT28R, its actually in the T25 family on Garretts website. You can make up to 330hp which is plenty if its a street car and will provide a ton of fun, and it costs half as much.

also since im running a stock headasket i will probably be boosting 10psi- 1 bar at most. i dont want to blow it, i really cant afford any downtime right now. i need seat time bad.

i like looking down the road though. when i do replace my hg, i will want to run at least 1 bar. im thinking 1200$ now is better than 800$ now and 1200$ later.
