Blowing ALT fuse, BLACKTOPs14 in S13
Hey guys, just finished doing blacktop swap on my s13. Car runs and starts fine, but Im blowing my ALT fuse. I have continuity between the thick wire on the alt to one spot on the fuse location. Its reading full battery voltage across the fuse.
Its the s14 ALT, but I changed the fitting on it where the thick wire goes so the s13 wire would work for it. There is no rubber on it, but I dont see how this could cause any problems. Your insite to this would be definatley apprieciated!!! |

Exactly what happened with my redtop. Just use another nut and just keep that wire from touching the alternator housing.

Yeah, either that or you torqued the nut too much and broke the plastic washer. Has happened to me and it took a while to figure out what the hell was going on |
