a chip of my hammers wood handle fell in my oil pump

So today I was ready to remove my cylinder head out of my ka24de, I was taping the top timing cover to loosen it with my hammers wooden handle when a piece of the wood chipped of (about a nickles length and thickness )and fell through the timing chain space to the oil pan. How bad is my problem? Do I have to removed the oil pan? Or maybe it can come of from the oil drain plug?

Might be able to get it to drain out from the plug but if it doesn't show up probably would have to remove the pan.

Damn, I know taking out the pan is a pain. I was hoping it would desolve or something.
