S14 NON SE subframe to SE.

I got a friend who is gonna sell me an SE subframe for 160 plus a trade for mine. Anyone think it's worth swapping? I don't want the 5 lug swap. I need to change the bushings on mine so that's why I need to drop mine. Does anyone know if I can swap out just the sway bar on the SE to mine?

I swapped a SE sway bar onto my buddies non-SE 1997. Just make sure you get all the endlinks and bolts and such. It was a straight swap over.

make sure you get someting to chase the threaded holes for the sway bar brakes before you install the bolts. They are probably full of rust and gunk from being exposed for all these years.

I didnt and the other day when i had to remove my swaybar i realized that i had destroyed the threads

Should be a straight forward swap. FYI, The SE and non-SE have the same subframe. Only difference being the base(aka non SE) didn't get a rear sway bar.

Why not just buy aluminum subframe bushings? Makes more sense and should save you some money as well, as far as swaybar goes just buy an aftermarket one seeing the SE rear sway bar is only about 15mm.

So you're going to:

-do all the work
-give him rear a 5 lug setup
-give him 160 dollars

You sir, are getting fucked.

You can sell your rear 5 lug, people give away 4 lug shit all the time. Then take that money and buy your own bushings.

Regardless of what you decide to do, subframe / diff is the same across the model lines.
