Also how easy it for you to get hard to find oem jdm parts or after market jdm parts? Of course here in socal we are very spoiled having a bunch of knowlegeble places and people to help do swaps and having motors for our cars just a few min drive away. Jspec being 10 mins from me. etc etc. part in stock basicly whatever we want we can get now or very little wait and also usually at the best price too.

I was just curious how getting parts for 240s is for everyone else?

Um mostly we get stuff shipped. There are engine importers everywhere, and there are performance shops everywhere, but mostly, stuff is shipped.

the dealer here is actually a great help - the parts manager flat out told me that he'll do almost anything to keep the local S chassis alive (4 total that i know of - 2 fastbacks one pignose coupe, and my s14)

aftermarket places are useless unless you want 24" spinny rims, or stacks for your truck

ugh

all my real stuff has been purchased online

theres some pretty good places here that can get stuff from japan, seeing as hawaii is soo close. shipping stuff from the mainland it horrible though, as the costs are craaaazy high.

240 parts are super easy to get.... so long as they're fake HID lights, washer nozzle lights, stickers, and all the other ricey crap that fuels the aftermarket.

In terms of quality parts, it's either the internet or a real RACE shop about 45 minutes from my apartment called northstar racing.

Well, for OEM parts I go to local junkyards. Last week I found a yard that 6 S13 240's in it!!! it was a small yard too, it was crazy. Of course none of them had blue dashes or a nice set of wheels

as for OEM JDM stuff, I go to eBay!! And for all my aftermarket needs, its either eBay or Enjuku Racing. I live 7 minutes away from them (I timed it one day

I might as well be in alaska for the aftermarket support we have up here in washington

I was thinking of just opening a biz myself... at least that way if I couldn't find something, it's my own damn fault!

Pointers on getting started? A friend of mine is all excited to do it, he'd do offroad and domestics, and I'd do imports... I guess if selling altezzas and washer blinkers will pay for me to get a bigger turbo, then I'll play the evil rice pusher role
