Had one on my KA. It rested against the subframe, causing it to rattle occasionally. I ended up getting a ticket for it so I sold it. Fun exhaust if you don't give a fuck.

If you're concerned about it being too loud, it's probably not the exhaust for you haha. It looks great.
You can kinda see how far it sticks out in this picture: |

It is way to loud for a daily if you dont want to worry about the fuzz. Get a dual blast pipe exhaust but with a muffler in it like a Trust DD, they still sound rowdy but are quiet off throttle and not raspy all the time

that has got to be pretty loud on a KA (if there are no silencers).

It is, indeed, a very loud exhaust. I've got the 4" duals on my S13 hatch. Put it on two weeks before my buddy and I took a road to New York to visit friends....coming from Georgia. Had earplugs in the whole trip and still ended up being half way deaf. But, that was on a N/A KA. Currently putting in a built SR and that'll probably quiet it down a bit. Cops in my area don't have a problem with it, as every bro truck down here has crazy loud exhaust.

LOL. That happened to me that second day I put it on by accident. Went out to eat with some people, left, started reversing out of my spot and I hear a car alarm; I thought, "nah, couldn't of been me." Keep reversing and another goes off. Everyone was going |

I just put them on my rb vert yesterday and today it's for sale. haha. it's fine if your in a smaller town and don't really care...but if you in a heavily populated area like me then it's a bit rowdy.. but just like i told myself...you wonderin how loud it is? it's a straight pipe. lol.

I have the buddy club spec II on my s14 on a NA ka. That shits loud as all hell without the silencer and even with the silencer its still loud. I'm thinking of buying a exhaust valve control just to ease her down at times. But I've also read that a turbo helps to quiet it up some too. I plan on going turbo after I acquire the parts.

I have the Isis dual n1 on an n/a ka, and that has a mid muffler and the two fart cans at the end. My buddy lives about 1/3 mile away from where I work, and he says when he's outside working on his car he can hear me start my car and drive off for my lunch break.
In short, yes the straight pipes will be loud. |

I've got the straight pipes on my sr20 s13. I love it, loud as fuck, its great.
Then again, I don't give a fuck about getting pulled over so thats probably why I'm cool with it.

Had it on my stock SR20 with bolt ons. 4". LOUD AS FUCK and I loved it! Neck breaker for sure. Got in trouble with the cops just once, but I could care less. Bad ass.
Sold it, but I'm definitely gonna buy it again after I go JZ. |

Have the dual 4" straight on my s14. Stock s14 sr with straight pipe (no cat). Pretty loud, but since its a track car louder the better. lol I can't say much on fitment since I can't put my rear bumper on (yet). But just before the straight pipe I have a flex tube so there's is more room for adjustments. As of right now I just have aftermarket hangers and have no issues with clearance, of course this is without a rear bumper.
I had the Greddy Ti-c catback and Apexi Dual N1 and had clearance problems with diff and swaybar. This is with using belt clamps and heat wrap for the diff. A lil video....Stock S14 SR with straight pipe to Isis dual 4" straight exhaust |
