Shimmed VLSD
Anyone ever used a shimmed VLSD ? I picked up a stock VLSD out of a 97' s14 for $75. Trying to figure out if i should put it in my s13, shim it then drop it in, or get a LSD. Not gonna be using it as a track car for a while so it's gonna be a car I take out when I'm bored and drift in some open parking lots. I have no experience with diffs.
What would you guys recommend I do? |

I suggest you start using the small questions thread and searching instead of making a new thread every damn day.
Also, if you want to search zilva in a more expeditious manner go to google and type in 'shimmed VLSD site:zilvia.net'; I found multiple shim threads and it took me 6 seconds to do. ending the search in 'site:zilvia.net' will give you results only from zilva. |

shimming a VLSD causes it to wear out quickly... save the money and buy an HLSD out of an S15 with the output shafts.
THREAD LOCKED! Please search next time you have a small question or use this thread... http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=297481 |
