Head lamps brightness
Saving some money, decided between PIAA HID Super Plasma or Hella 6024 Halogen Headlamp. Relatively the same price. Any pics or comments from owners of either one of these, how bright they are and how white they usually are. Thanks.

actually.... if u want just the bulb, not the sealed headlight replacement (which is great, but more $$), look into new Wagner line. they are IDENTICAL to Silverstar and cost 7.50 at local auto store. i use the instead of silverstar which are like 20 bux... fuck that. thats on s14 (9003) so.... yea, anyway.

own a s13, have to get the sealed replacement lamp too. think i may settle with Hella. only heard bad/okay reviews for silverstars. im looking for an output like new bmw's/mercedes, dont think spending 40 bucks on silverstars will get me anywhere near that.

You won't get that output unless you modify the housing to accept an HID bulb, or go to a higher wattage bulb and upgrade all the wiring to be able to drive them. Going directly to a 110W bulb will burn the switch and harnesses, Hella sells an nice upgrade kit with their bulbs, so does Phillips IIRC.
Anything colored or coated is going to effect light output because it has a coating to shine through, you may get a different hue which appears to be brighter but you're seeing things in a different light rather than actually seeing things brighter.
