how difficult is the 180 front?
if i end up getting my s13, i will eventually make it into a Sileighty. I was just wondering how hard it was to do this? and what are the figures ($$$) id be looking at?

Well after I read the rest of your message, it is pretty clear that you want an s13 silvia front end. The swap is easy, a dirrect bolt up. Youl need the following. 2 silvia fenders, 2 headlights, 2 corner lights, 1 grill, 1 bumper, 1 hood, and this part is key 2 headlight suports. The rest is nuts, bolts and wreaching. am... you mean gettin a 180sx and puttin a s13 front end on it?? Or do you mean gettin a coupe 240sx and gettin ride of the flip ups and puttin on the projectors??? so ya, if you have a hatchback/coupe its a bolt on. but.. ya... to your own.. <-

Right on. I personally love the whole sileighty look. But a'las, i am conserned for safety and apted for air bags. but get some picks up when you get it done.

i was only joking anyways..
do a search on the web, i actually found a couple of sites that give u step by step info wiht pics on how to do the s13 conversion. read from there you can determine whether it will be hard or not. i tried to search it but cant ifnd it, but its out there |

s13 has airbags? this is news to me. i hate airbags. if they are so good, why dont i see them in race cars? hhmMMM??! if my s13 has an airbag, somebody sell me a momo wheel or something... airbag. *BLEH* just gimme a good set fo 4 point harness.

S13 240SXs don't have airbags. That's why we have those stupid electric seatbelts. So, you can rest easier knowing you run a decent chance of eating steering wheel in an accident
The kouki 180SX in Japan is the only S13 I know if with airbags, and even then there's only a driver's airbag. Before anyone asks, no, I doubt anyone has any idea if they could be retrofitted to a US car. It's probably possible at great expense, if you want airbags buy an S14. |

my auto belt thingy is all broken and ****...so I have to buckle up twice...
Im really starting to hate my 240, I need to a) buy a 180 that was properly maintained and babied...or b) just go get that s14a I have been drooling over for the last three months... damn $7.76 an hour dosent do **** for cars.... anyone wanna help me learn to sell drugs? It seems to be the cool thing too do and apparenly (says the movies/MTV) you make "mad bling bling and get props and stuff" :-D
