how difficult is the 180 front?

if i end up getting my s13, i will eventually make it into a Sileighty. I was just wondering how hard it was to do this? and what are the figures ($$$) id be looking at?

thanks guys..

Well after I read the rest of your message, it is pretty clear that you want an s13 silvia front end. The swap is easy, a dirrect bolt up. Youl need the following. 2 silvia fenders, 2 headlights, 2 corner lights, 1 grill, 1 bumper, 1 hood, and this part is key 2 headlight suports. The rest is nuts, bolts and wreaching.

This link should help. http://sr20.hybrids.jp/installations...ont/index.html

average cost for an S13 front end nowadays is 1000-1300 depending on condition, paint, headlight types and the supports and such etc.

Might have something to do with a race car driver wearing a helmet being buckled in a racing harness surronded by a roll cage.

I'm glad you pointed that out caguy! Anyway the Sileighty conversion is nice it's one of the generic questions that newbs ask all the time. I say more power to you on the coupes it just looks right (due to the boxy rear the boxy front looks much better) and on the fb it gives it a unique feel. I have seen two and liked both. One w/ projectors and one w/ halogens ::shhhh I like projectors more::

S13 240SXs don't have airbags. That's why we have those stupid electric seatbelts. So, you can rest easier knowing you run a decent chance of eating steering wheel in an accident

The kouki 180SX in Japan is the only S13 I know if with airbags, and even then there's only a driver's airbag. Before anyone asks, no, I doubt anyone has any idea if they could be retrofitted to a US car. It's probably possible at great expense, if you want airbags buy an S14.

but only the USDM had electric seatbelts. everyone else had manual ones!

i dont like airbags too. i would have gotten an s14 if i wanted/needed one.
