I agree the upper door line should have been filled. It kinda looks out of place now. And is this going to be a hard parked car? Nothing wrong with it but I just figured I'd ask referring to the decision to mold those rears on.

As for being hard parked... well I did not build it for show but time will be the teller of what I end up using the car for. Mainly, I wanted to be happy with the way it looked first because that's what motivates me to drive it rather than let it sit in my shop. Free time even on weekends is a rare thing but I'd love to take it on a nice weekend drive up in the mountains with friends and maybe do some open drifting events once in a blue moon. I don't intend to smash the car into anything if that is what you're implying. |

Yeah, that's kind of what I was getting at. The rears normally aren't molded on so they're easier to derivet, fix underlying damage, and replace them if needed. Molded on rears is kinda fingers crossed no one is stupid enough to hit you or you have TOO much fun and tap something. Granted it's fixable, just more hassle.
Regardless, the car looks stellar. I can't wait to see it sit on it's wheels you intended for it. Any ETA on that even if it's just a side profile teaser? |

The color I dig.
The kit, I'm not sure if I like it. It looks like too many different things smashed together. It's different but I'd have to see the car completely done before I can say if it works out. I wish it was just a slightly modified version of the original kit. We'll see. |

Painting the top grille black and ripping out the bottom one (intercooler). The bodyshop just installed it because they thought i wanted it there.
Notice that I skyjacked the shit out of it. Bringing it to my shop tomorrow morning and had to make sure it'd make it onto the back of a flatbed. |

You might have to model up and mold (vacuum form) something yourself with a different light source then. There are a lot of newer benz and bmw with LED fogs that could be good donors.

I just think it's an attractive color combo.
'Course there will be future additions to tie it in (Brembo brake calipers, some form of hood spoiler, vinyl, etc) |

Believe me, I have a shitload of renderings and I did my best to plan the build out before setting forth to do it. |

Im really surprised you didnt cut the side skirts down where they overlap the fenders so you could do more with the vent on the fender. Is it finished or do you plan on adding more to it?

I love the kit, and once you said you were painting the top grill black and getting rid of the bottom one for the intercooler, it wasn't a riced out kit from fast and furious. Quality work on the body so you know it will be quality work on the engine.

I enjoy how people see these photos, and the first thought generated by their brain is "how I would change it".
P.S. not gonna lie, since that text - I've been a bit conflicted about which car to finish now. |
