I'm debating if I'm to stray away from white...

I've given the thought a rest for awhile hopefully I grow out of the thought of changing it.

Hey man, I looooooove your build so far. Alot of attention to detail and I have a lot of respect in the motor build and turbo set-up as a fellow RB26 owner. Keep it up, Im anticipating seeing the final product of paint! :P

Quick question man, I have heard that McKinney mounts allow flex under high torque making very quick shifting difficult due to motor mount flexing. Aswell as a high and forward engine position compared to other mounts that utilize a R33 crossmember. Im just looking for insight on what motor mounts I should go with, in a RB26DETT in a US LHD S13.

Thank you, and I will be staying tuned on this thread sir!

Thanks Mike. The McKinney kit is really well made and actually positions the motor pretty much as far back as you can and as low as you can before fouling against anything in the engine bay re: firewall, cross member, etc.

I've sold countless amount of mount kits and have nothing but success with all types of applications using them. Hence why I have a set on my personal car

I really appreciate the input on the mounts, I've gotten a simaler answer from someone else who has alot of experiance with RB S-Chassis swaps/builds so I'll be looking into that option for sure. Its also hassle free not having to install a R33 crossmember.

Awesome, thanks again.
Mike

PS - Whens the expected pick up date?

The car has been out of the paint booth for awhile but haven't taken any quality pics... but here are some basic shots of how it came out:

Matte white with tri-coat of pearl

Can't really tell the pearl when it's under low light but when it's outside it pearls...

Very nice work! You're car is an inspiration!!

If you don't mind me asking how much different is a 26 swap from a 25? Assuming I have all swap parts from mckinney (mounts, downpipe, driveshaft) what else would be needed for the 26 to drop in and go?

Aside from wiring and harness of course.. I'm talking about as far as install goes is there any custom work involved? Also, is AC out of the question?

Can't wait for updates!! Especially the dyno! Props for a great shop and guys who really look after the RB crowd.
