These guys in Australia claim they have the fastest Silvia S14 in the world. A pretty big claim if you ask me.

They seem to know what they are doing and have some fast cars from watching some videos of their work.

But do you guys think there is a faster one ?

*EDIT* not sure if this is old new so sorry if it is.

Bad ass s13 ha, like the fiberglass front end.

But does anyone have any record of a faster s14 ? because thats the main question. These guys claim they have the fastest s14 and i wanna know if its true.

Call me a purist... but it doesn't have a Nissan engine,
so, it's "just another drag car". (The aussie car).

I'm not going to go shouting if I break any records with my Zed,
"Fastest/Bestest Zed"... cause it's not... if anything it's a Corvette
wrapped in Zheeps clothing.

So, fast or not... it's not really ever going to be the "Fastest 240SX",
unless it has a Nissan mill. But that's just my 2c inflated for the recession.

s14 in 3rd video is sr powered, from what i read.

i do believe that import dps's s13 kaT is running on alcohol if i re-call, tried to pull specs but they are conservative on that info.

^ correct and all three videos are the same car. except the second one does have other cars in it butthe s14 in all three videos are infact the same car.

I was actually referring to post #4, which I scanned thru the videos really
quickly since I had recently seen them. Then presumed that post #4 was
the same car, since it was faster than the first video time. And it was
at that point that I posted, because I saw it was 2JZ powered.

Now, I'm not sure if post #4 was a completely different car? Yeah, it is...
but they also claim to be fastest. So... as I was saying, Toyota engine.
Only makes sense a Supra is a pig beast of weight.

It is moot since a nice KA is powering that white one and it's faster than
all the rest.

But then, you ask... fastest 'street legal' which the Aussie one looks like it
could be, or fastest all-out including not streetable/non street legal cars,
which it seems the white car is.

btw, that white car was actually 7.73 AND running a KA engine like it should.
=)

Didn't the Aussie car (first vid) seem faster than the others? I mean... it takes
off... nasty. lol.

well i mean i see witch one is the fastest now.. now croydon or what ever needs to see this and try to compete and see what happens...

I should have stated something like .... the fastest ka or sr or 4 cyl s14 because thats what really interests me.

Yes it looks like that would be fastest. I should have put the subject as the fastest s14 so its more specific.. but thats a nice s15.... i bet that would be a fun ride.

I don't know if i consider the Mazworx s15 a "silvia/240" anymore.

tube chassis. ford 9" rear. fiberglass the majority of the body? but cool none the less.

you have a point, most of these guys that are pulling down the track at such low numbers have stuff on them that take out the true part of the original car.. the car i posted im not sure what rear end or engine it has but for the most part it looks like stock body besides the front bumper. It looks pretty close to original..

But like i said before i should have been more specific like fastest S14 silvia in the world ? from what ive been looking on google i cant seen to find what motor that car actually has in it..

For the record, BoostSlideWays, the car in the first video is an SR20DET on nitrous and a C4 Auto.
As far as I know it's legitimately the fastest full bodied S-Chassis Silvia in the world, it reset the Jun record from 1998 in 2004.

If anyone knows otherwise as far as SR/CA Silvia’s go that haven’t had their rear ends tubbed, I would love to know too.

IMO the dudes who have a 2J in their Silvia should be comparing their times to Supra’s...

Its not problem i should have mentioned before the fastest s14 sr20 in the world. I too believe the 2jz s chassis shouldnt be in this category because the engines are soo powerful they are not even nearly in the same ballpark.

But its fun to learn about the fastest ones around.
