Nismotronic - tuning help
Alright so super long story short I bought a nismotronic ecu as well as injectors turbo and misc other parts from the same guy. Happened to be a good package deal and I thought maybe it would be a shorter route to getting the car tuned since our setups were almost idential. 740ccs, gm map, aem wideband setup to the breakout box.
it was both a Good theory / Bad theory. Building off the existing tune he had on the ecu I have the following: When at full operating temperature the car runs beautiful. Pulls like a raped ape, AFRs are pretty smooth, no knock. Idles fairly well. it can be inconsistent sometimes and rev up and down a few hundred rpm but inevitably it hovers around 900-1000 rpm. When cold I have the start up corrections fixed from the previous tune (thanks to J-kerr) so the car fires right up when cold but then dies out. When the motor is anywhere from room temperature to just below operating temp, the car runs terrible. The wideband reads that the car is running super lean however it misfires and I can smell the raw fuel in the exhaust. I've played around just jamming wild numbers in different places to see what would affect it the most and nothing really seems to change at all. Played with ECT corrections, the fuel table, SA factors, wideband factors etc. Any quick thoughts? If anyone would like I can attach the tune file

Have you checked for error codes?

Try checking the ECT connector for corrosion.

If you can attach the tcd (tune file) and a log (tcl), I'll have a look.
