Need some Input

Alright well my 240sx is really starting to get on my last nerve. Last night when I went to start it I heard a click and the car was DEAD. Was not even cranking over. So me and my friend got some jumper cables and jumped the car and it started. The car stayed running and I was able to drive it home. When I got home took the key out and went to start it it was dead again.

Now my questions is Does that sounds like a bad alternator? or a bad battery. My thinking is if it was a bad alternator the car would have died when I took off the jumper cables. This one has me a little confused, so any input would be great!

Thanks,
Nick

the battery is not holding the charge. You are correct, the battery would have died when you removed the cables if the alternator was bad

yep. bad battery. get it replaced asap, or its going to burn out your alternator by overworking it.

Replace your battery and everything will be ok or if you're not in a rush to buy one. Bring your battery to Autozone and have them check it out.
