s13 S13 HUD stopped working while driving

I have a 92 se ka24de original 5 speed. I've done some searching about the infamous HUD issues and I didnt find anything specific to my issue. I warm my car up for about 5 minutes and start driving and then all of a sudden the HUD goes out, the temp gauge stops, the gas gauge stops, the gas mileage counter gets stuck as well as the mileage. The only thing that works is the tachometer. Randomly, the HUD cluster starts to work again while im driving. Any ideas on why that is? There is no specific time it does this, its just random. Im at a loss.

check behind the cluster for loose grounding, wiring, water damage, and connections.

Lol, you'd be surprised at what kind of weird stuff that can cause electrical problems. I got a buddy that found some cockroach eggs inside his ecu for his S14 that caused it to fry.

Good luck and hope everything turns out well

Happens to them all eventually. There is something heat related that will break the connection when it heats/cools. Usually it works fine AFTER about 15 minutes - usually right when you arrive at work/school.

There are people who will fix it for about $120 I believe, google "repair s13 HUD circuit board".
