I gave myself my final clean shave about 12 hours ago. I won't shave or trim at all for the next month. Well, I may trim the 'stache just to keep it out of my mouth. I'll be taking a pic every day and posting a .gif at the end of the month.

I was trimming until this thread popped up, so I already HAD a slight beard, but as of October 15th, I have touched nothing, in fact my pops had borrowed my shaver until Friday...
As of just now:

I may just stretch this thing out until and through December too, dependent upon what the lady says.

myself and two friends started mid last month a bet of no shave/hair cut till new years. At new years we are gunna cut out hair into mullets for the party.

how much trimming is allowed? I hate my neckbeard so I try to keep it in the chin; that´s the only thing that keeps me away from having a full beard

I would say shaving the neck beard is allowed as well as trimming the stache. I actually Shave the first day it snows, then I dont shave till the snow melts, Hibernation sonn!

I hate what grows down my neck and that my mustache grows up my nose, but I am toughing it out this time.

what are the chances... i decided to stop shaving about a week and a half ago till about a day before i leave for basic at the end of Jan. i'll take a few pics approx once a week or so then post like 4 at one time

You can definitely shave your neck beard. That will make the difference between looking like a crazy hippy and looking like a normal person who wants to grow a beard.

I use scissors and trim stray hairs on my cheeks and mustache every week or so; just because it gets annoying to put in my headphones (which I wear at work 80% of the time) and grab cheek hairs in the process, or when I try and eat something and get a bunch of mustache hairs in the corners of my mouth.

well i think i have a little head start on most as today is day 115 of no shave or trim of the beard. i have been able to grow a beard since high school and at one time tried to fight it but got over that quickly. i shaved to skin on july 10 for my parents 30th wedding anniversary as a gift because it had been 5 years since my anyone seen my face. so here is a pic as of right now. planing on going at least 365 before a trim.

I hadn't been able to grow mine because of my job in customer sevice but now that I changed jobs I am able to do it

As for the ladies, he is right, some girls like it, some dont. I think it also depends on the guy. Some people just cant pull off a beard look. Every time I have ever grown mine out, I get way more attention from girls.
