S13 Aftermarket horns question
Hey again, im full of questions, i did a few searches and checked youtube so kinda got an idea but long story short when i bought my s13 the horn didnt work and didnt have the oe horns anymore; only some crappy harbor freight horns that were connected to nothing. I cant find any stray plugs that could potentially be the horn plugs to tap into so i was wondering if anyone with any experience could lend some advice. I got some neo chrome sickspeed horns (hella supertone style) and i made a nice lil harness for em with 1 12v and 1 ground that goes and splits to the horns.
I watched a video and a dude was trouble shooting horns bt they were stock and it didnt show the connectors very well and then he was showing how to check the fuse etc i could have sworn he said the wire that comes OUT of the fuse box and goes to the plugs for the positive 12v was green. There was 2 stray green wires coming out of the harness between the radiator and the hood release latch. Basically the black cover with all the wires in it had 2 green wires hanging out stray about a foot apart that seemed to dangle where the horns should be mounted. I basically wired those together and into the power wire on my horn harness but no luck. Before i take apart my quick release etc to check that (pretty sure i did that all right) was wondering the following 1. Can someone post a pic or multiple pics of the oem horn plugs and the color of the wires going into it? 2. Does anyone know the color of the wire that comes OUT OF THE BAY FUSE BOX that is the +12v wire for the horns, i figure i can just tap it in there right past the fuse Basically I want to see the factory connector(s) so i can see if i can find them and use those, and if i cant if someone knows a good place to splice the 12v into that would be great as well Thanks |

Or rather where the wire comes out from the relay. The fsm says its a green wire that goes to both horns for power, could i splice them to that wire coming out of the relay box?

This is a very specific issue. It's hard for me to visualize what you are trying to say. I would just trace the wire from the steering wheel using a continuity tester and figure out what pin on the horn needs power.

I decided there were too many places and combinations of where the issue could be so I bought a golf cart 12v standalone horn button, ima just put that on the dash and wire a 12v constant to that and then wire it directly to the horns. Avoid all the bs entirely and just wire it straight up
