That's some nice information to have on hand - thank you. Any other coupler colors besides black, red and blue? Are these pretty damn durable? Also, it reads 'a complete piping kit,' but will I still need to purchase the cold pipe for the S14 kit or is that why the chassis option is available? (I have an S15 motor in an S13 chassis). Thanks a mil, once more.

Answers below:

Any other coupler colors besides black, red and blue? No, just those colors.

Are these pretty damn durable? Yes, if they ever fail from normal use, send them back, and I will replace them for you at no charge. In an earlier post, one of our customers stated that he had crashed his car twice and they still held up.

Also, it reads 'a complete piping kit,' but will I still need to purchase the cold pipe for the S14 kit or is that why the chassis option is available? The cold pipe is included. The chassis option is because of different mounting brackets used for intercooler mounting.

Any and all questions are welcome. Thanks, Mike Browning, www.hiprollc.com [email protected]

The hot pipe is included for the S13 and S14 SR kits. You only need the turbo outlet coupler to connect to our kit. Our kit then includes all piping, couplers, and clamps back to your intake manifold. Thanks, Mike B. www.hiprollc.com [email protected]

Do you know if the S14 SR kit will be fine for a S14 with S13 SR setup? And if I want to install a HKS bov, I only have to pay 40 extra, right? Also, can I leave the bumper support in with you guy's inter cooler set up?

Thank you
Jesse Tang

Jesse... for your setup, you need the S13 SR kit and then need the S14 intercooler mounting brackets to fit the S14 chassis. $40 extra for the HKS style BOV adapter, as you stated. With all of the larger intercoolers, you have to "modify" the bumper or remove it. Thanks, Mike Browning, Sales Manager, www.hiprollc.com [email protected]

Weight varies by kit, but the intercooler alone is under 17 lbs and the piping with couplers and clamps normally weighs less than 8 lbs, for a combined kit weight of under 25 lbs. Thanks, Mike B. [email protected] www.hiprollc.com

Aaaaand the total price shipped to 95608 w/BOV flange? Is custom placement for the flange available or should I purchase the flange seperately in order to do that on my own?

Wow, I may be getting back into a 240 soon (S14 + an uninstalled RB25 swap), I hope these kits are still around when I do. Great price!

It'd be nice if they had comparison to tube & fin and delta fin intercoolers as well as their comparison to bar & plate!

For the S13 piping kit, the Hybrid design uses a BOV coupler. If you look at the pics, there is a 1.5" inch fitting welded to the hot pipe. It is designed to be used with a BOV adapter, although many of our customers cut this and weld a flange for their specific BOV. We keep the BOV adapters, with t-bolts and coupler, for the Greddy R, S, RS style BOVs, and the HKS SSQV style BOV. $40 extra, for the adapter kit, as shown on our web site at www.hiprollc.com.
Inside of GTSpec doesn't reveal much about the design, but here it is .

Yeah, mine would be the S14 kit...so... Is the flange pre welded or do we have a choice of placement? Thanks for all your help, Mike!

For the S14 kit, the piping is designed to use the stock recirculating BOV so it has the same large nipple on the cold pipe side (no other flange provided) as the stock unit. Thanks, Mike B. [email protected] www.hiprollc.com

I got another question. How do we get the price you're offering "$375"? So if i order the entire s13 SR i/c kit for an s14 chassis. I just need to choose the s14 mounting brackets and if I'm gonna pick up a Greddy RS bov. All that's needed is to bolt the two together and it should be ok? Or am I missing something here?

Thanks.

To get the discounted price, enter coupon code FMIC50 at checkout, to drop the price from $425 down to $375. If you want the BOV adapter, it is an extra $40 and, yes, it comes with clamps and coupler to connect directly to the hot pipe BOV connector (S13 only). At checkout, you will also be able to select either S13 or S14 chassis intercooler mounting brackets. By the way, the $375 price is for continental US shipping, Hawaii is an extra $40. Thanks, Mike Browning, Sales Manager www.hiprollc.com [email protected]

Order online at www.hiprollc.com. To get these prices, add one of our kits to your shopping cart and, at checkout, enter coupon code FMIC50, which drops the price from $425 down to $375 (not applicable to CA18DET). Thanks for your support. Mike Browning, Sales Manager, www.hiprollc.com. [email protected]

I got the intercooler form Mike last week, here is a couple shots from the installation. Too bad I am missing the 90 degree elbow from the turbo to the hot pipe. Mike, let's bring them in so I can finish the car!!! BTW, I got the HKS bov adapter from him too.
