serious if you cant find a s13 for less than 2,000 your just not looking hard enough. I bought mine for 2,500 but it was so damn clean (inside and out) I couldn't resist.

its true all you need is being patient and looking at the right area. only people who ask too much because they add shit on their car. tell them BRING IT BACK TO STOCK AND ILL BUY IT THE SAME PRICE YOU BOUGHT IT.

i wish it was priced higher so less kids get into the new drift/ emo/ alternative life thing that they think buying a 240sx entails.
I say 5k is fine for a s13, and 10-12k for a stock s14. That would be enough to keep the Fwd and ghetto people from buying 240's. Maybe only then can the quality of the cars on the road increase. Right now the 240sx is the new civic...in socal...the archtype of poorly done, multi-colored, half-assed, and unsafe driving...to public, law enforcement, and enthusiasts.

serial, now dont be hating here...
but i am seriously NOT in love with my 240 right now. Needs ball joints, new control arms, new shocks, new springs, has electrical issues, the engines on its last leg, and a bad paint job.... I suppose thats what 190,000 miles will do. You really cant find a well taken care of 240 these days. The previous owner of mine, whom I know, was a complete idiotic whore (literally) who probably didnt change the oil the entire time she owned it. If i were to sell my car, id prolly sell it for like a grand. But im a realist. I know as soon as i sold it i'd cry. Honestly, if you want a good clean s chassis, be prepaired to drive a few hours... or days, if your that hard core, to get one... or go to canada, get a REAL s13 silvia, know someone who inspects cars and are real good friends with, and you'll have a good low mileage s13 for under 5 grand.

once you buy a 240sx, then take your time, spend your money wisely and you will get a good return on it when you are done with it. unless you crash it of coarse.

350's are not really my thing, tho they've gotten better. For track thats why i purchased an s2000, as its a more fun daily drivable and once in a while track car imho.
i had a 240sx before, long time ago. Which i purchased new in febuary 1996. It was sold in september 2007 for 11k to a friend. One if bored can look at it, as its on the phase2 website... Last time i checked it was the 1st s14 chassis w/ s14 SR20det and fully functional Air conditioning back in 2002. http://phase2motorsports.stores.yaho...lins14pro.html

they want one because they want to be cool like you. POS people tries to buy 240sx then crash it after a month of driving thinking they can do drift with 1 month of practicing. basically these type of idiots causes the low supply of 240sx in the community. its funny how this fuckers think they can slip and slide and drive perfectly with only driving a rwd for less than a month. shit with 241XXX original miles on my car. i dont mind replacing all bushings that needs to be replaced because at least i know im the person who put up those miles. it takes time to learn real drifting and polish your skills to the track. not in the streets Last edited by wangan_cruiser; 04-06-2008 at 10:00 PM.. ^^^Exactly, 2-3 yrs ago. Check around lately? Finding a stock unmolested S14 now to me is like finding a rich virgin who would be able to support my car and crack habit...

I bought my 97 Kouki, 90k miles on it, from the 2nd owner for $9k. Do I feel ripped off? Hell no! If you really want something, do it. Nevermind the bullshit people say or what a book says your car is worth, do it.
I work in auto finance, I know what cars are worth and I know what a good deal looks like. Granted I didn't get an amazing deal like some of the lucky few but I got the car I wanted. I don't regret paying the price. What's done is done. I love my car and that's that. If you want one, make sure it's the one. If you have one...you know what I'm talking about. |

F&F3 movies

actually guy, I think what he means is that drifting is prominent in F&F 3, and the majority of the people with FF platform who want to start drifting and want to buy FR cars choose 240's, so yes, I'd say movies like that did effect the 240sx market. |

I miss saying "what up" to fellow 240 owners. The prices will go down later but for now just enjoy the aftermarket attention, and try not to get yo shit stolen. |

Imo $1500-2k is the going rate for a running car with almost 0 mods (maybe the occasional new shift nob or air freshener). Or get a shell for cheap and build it ground-up, but trips to the junkyard and zilvia will seem endless. The price is due to hype, and what people can actually do with the car. If you want a cheap project, get a VW superbeetle, drop a litre bike motor into a geo metro, or get a civic . Otherwise a 240 is a good choice.
