"Your honor, we now have the fashion police," added public defender Carol Bickerstaff, who asked the law be declared "unconstitutional.

The judge agreed with Bickerstaff immediately, reported the Post.

Laws that ban low-slung pants are on the books in several US cities, including Delcambre, Louisiana, where offenders can be fined up to 500 dollars or jailed for up to six months.

Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia are among the larger US cities considering similar measures.

Why not? The only reason it's not allowed is because a lot of people find it offensive. I'm sure you could find 5000 people to sign a petition to mark pretty much anything "offensive" though.

In a completely free society you don't ban something unless that something impinges on the freedoms of others. In the real world however a more reasonable viewpoint is to set publics restrictions just strict enough for society to function properly without cutting too deep into telling people what to do. Honestly, though we're already WELL beyond that point.

From a political standpoint I'll support any candidate from any party that wants to make this country less of a NANNY STATE.

Thats a very close minded statement. I know a lot of people who sag their pants but are in no means up to anything. Open your eyes and stop being so judgmental. still sag my pants some what. Lol. I know plenty of other wise respectable looking people, with business suits and nice shoes, and a clean haircut, who will walk around with 2 or 3 ounces of that good in their pockets, and do other illegal things. How do I know? I was one of those people lol.
