ka24e idles, but cant rev at all!
Ive been trying to fix my sohc for a week now, but now im fresh out of ideas.
Basically, i can start my car and idles around 850rpm as it should be. It slowly decreases in idle after a few seconds and dies. While idling, the fuel pressure seems fine (34psi), and theres no bogging or hesitation. However, when i try reving the engine when its idling, it immediately dies. I cant even get it to go past 1500rpm without immediately dying. Ive tried changing the cap/rotor, distributor, ignition coil, cleaned up the connections on the coolant temp sensor, maf, and injectors. I also changed the sparkplugs, cause i was running too rich before, and they were covered with soot and had alittle fuel on them. I adjusted my nismo fpr and now its at the previously mentioned 34psi. I dont want to keep buying unnecessary parts, so please figure out the solution to my problem!! thanks! |

i still cant get my car running, but heres an update:
-i changed my cap/rotor and nothing changed -i changed the distributor and nothing changed -i checked timing on the distributor, and it was already good -nothing changed when unplugging the o2 sensor -i cleaned up the terminals on the coolant temp sensor, and nothing changed -i changed the ignition coil and nothing changed -the car will start but wont idle with the tps unplugged -the car ran alittle better with the maf unplugged (normally the car will immediately die when revved, but now i can go upto 3000rpm with it unplugged - however, it seems to bog, and struggles to hold anything above 1500rpm does running better without the maf mean that the maf is the problem? |
