As much as I would love to have these here also, I don't think it would make any sense business wise. Overhead costs would be extreme expensive plus I think most people here would not pay as much as they're asking price even though it's quality classic japanese cars.

Its more like a classic car used sales lot. It's cool and love the idea but sales wise it wouldn't make alot of money. I mean look at all the people here on Zilvia that can't afford or lowball R32 skylines, Chaser's, Soarer's that are still under $14,000. Great idea and cool but not market friendly over here.

dude theres alot out here what you talking about? just not specifically japanese cars, because japanese classics dont hold much value in the global market imo, unlike european cars or american classics. Americans arent willing to spend $$$$ on old japanese cars.

Idk if you were talking to me or OP but yeah you're right I just wasn't specific. I meant that they aren't willing to spend the money on old japanese classic cars. For example a big one is Barret Jackson's Auction which isn't really a sales lot but it's kinda on the same line. But there are definately more used car sales lot that specialize in American or European, just never saw any Japanese ones except for in Japan.

i also noticed the white one has vents by the rear window and the others don't is that a 2+2 or just a higher model?

Some have it, some don't. I haven't personally seen it very often. But no that's not an 2+2 either. 2+2's have back seats and the roofline and hatch area area shaped differently. Almost like a bulge.

Haha, I think I know that dealership. It looks like the one on RT. 16 heading towards Machida. A lot of nice cars. The hakosuka's are particularly drool worthy.

That shit is cool and like a few others have said there are lots like that here. Except they have classic American cars and European Cars. There are in Fact a few of those right here in Los Angeles.
There used to be an American Muscle car lot on Melrose in the late 90's I am not sure if its still there now. There is in fact a few classic European car lots in Beverly Hills.

There is also a closed dealership on Reseda in Reseda that pretty much serves as warehouse for a dealership that has so many rare, Exotic and classics its crazy. I have seen them dropping off 3 Carrera GT's there. LOL

House of Luxurious..I always drive by it to get to OCC to pick up my sister in law.

I would see plenty of euro classic cars 80' benz and bmw at prestine condition. some Z's at times.

There are actually lots of car lots like that stateside, they just don't have those cars on them.

I've got a used car lot near my house that has a 512bb, '54 C1 Corvette, LM002, XK120, Superbird, etc etc etc.

It's not that the idea of a specialty collector car lot won't fly in the US, it's that there isn't any interest in classic Japanese cars modified in this way, at least not among any material number of people who actually possess the money to purchase them.

those vents on the hatch lid you speak of came only on the first year the S30 was made with was 1970. Not sure if the white one on the pic is an early model or else it would also have 240z badges by the quarter glass instead of the round circle Z badge.

Anyway I agree with most on here. If we had dealership of jap cars in that condition here in the states people will just window shop. Just imagine how much more in price they will be here. Not only are they in top condition but these are actual RHD jap spec cars. Not only that but you guys no how expensive and what a hassle it is to import jap items to the states.

I was wondering what that dealership was. Such nice cars there all the time and they always seem to be cycling in and out. I live right around the corner from it and always take time to go by there.

there was a dealership i believe in riverside that sold fixed up 240's rx'7s an nsx's and stuff and you could pay extra and they would swap a sr or rb into the car does anyone remember that place?

I don't think there would be such a large market for that type of car here in the US.
Most ppl who buy classic euro/muscle have money and buy it as a toy and/or novelty.
They probably buy it straight out with cash.

I don't see it being easy getting a bank to finance some $10k+ 30yr old car.
That means it's not going to work as well in our typical low budget Zilvia-like market.
Not saying the market isn't there, it's just not enough to justify something like that here.

Now if it were $5,000 or less junkers/shells selling in a lot where land is cheap in a place like San Bernardino,
that might be a more realistic compromise.
