East Coast 6.0 Quake
My girls house was shaking like a madman, thought it was a helicopter right above us. Lasted for a good 20 seconds. Autoart boxes at my house prolly fell over lol. No major damage thus far. Scary though.
My locaton: Gaithersburg/Germantown MD Hope for no casualties.

+1 thought it was construction next door to my work place lol. guess not.
Although this pales in comparison to what Cali people and Japan went thorough, for us East coasters, it's a BIG deal lol. Called girlfriend, mom, everybody doing OK. |

Felt it in Burlington, NC.
My lady called from the house, 20 miles away in Greensboro and felt it there too. Whole building shook, and it is crazy because our office is next to the warehouse on a thick slab and there is no basement.

I live in Gaithersburg and I work in Tysons Corner, VA.
Office building was shaking quite a bit, but only very briefly. I actually slept through the last one, so I was glad I was awake for this one, lol. Very strange though, Colorado also had a very unusual earthquake this morning, I think a 5.3

The epicenter was around Charlottesville VA.
We felt it pretty good here in the Hampton Roads area of VA. I was on the top level of my building and the building was just swaying back and forth. Its the first one i've been through and it was pretty wild.

Felt it here in Alexandria, VA (close to the Pentagon). Was on the 12th floor and looking at another building shaking too, it was crazy, but I kept my cool and bolted for the stairs after it stopped lol No damage to the structure of the building or utility lines. However cell service is getting SLAMMED.
I see what you did right there...

In center city philadelphia, and I was surprised that no one jumped to the "terrorism" conclusion.
When you're in a high rise, they sway alot even in just the wind, so the quake was pretty noticeable. |
