Help me

Hi guys how's it going? So I'm stuck and need help. So I was changing out the alternator and forgot to disconnect the battery so while I was disconneting the negative off the alternator it sparked on me. So I started wondering if something fucked up. So I go inside the car and turn the key and clock don't work park lights don't work digital cluster don't work. And the only thing that works are the headlight but they don't even pop up check all the small fuses by the pedals and check the small fuses underneath the hood. Now I'm stuck what else can it be please help thanks you

check the 75amp fuse in the fuse box right by the alt. its a little tricky to tell if its blown but if its cracked in the middle where it would connect then its bad. similar problems happened to me and it was the fuse

Get a wiring diagram and a multimeter. You'll find it eventually. When you short a wire a part of the circuit has to open either a fuse or the weakest spot in the wire. Have fun

The wierd is I turn on the car and everything turn on again but as soon as I turned it off and turned it back on everything went black again. Rpms don't work or anything lol. All that works is headlight and little clock light that's all. Lol so I'm tripping now.

Ya check all fuses but weird thing is I have car connected to to another battery by jumper cables. And all I have to do is give it gas and all the light turn on. But as soon as I turn off the car and disconnect the jumper cables car dies and light won't turn on or cluster. And once I turn on the car again and rev it a couple of times at idle it work but I need to be connected to power cuz car won't stay charging

Did you check the 75 Amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box?

That's more than likely your issue.

It's the only 75 Amp fuse you have. Not hard to spot.

Typically gray in color and located in your passenger side fuse box within the engine bay.
