just to keep in spirit with the thread, i fitted a 94-95 accord rear bumper lip to my hatch over the weekend. i think i might go back and snag a 96-97 rear lip and fit it as they extend further in the back. also thinkin about fitting up some 94-97 accord side skirts as they would go REALLY well with the chuki front lip and accord valances
fitting these is NOT for the faint of heart, theres a lot of cutting involved along with making custom mounting brackets (i just used some thin tin molding and 3m permanent/exterior double sided tape) but the outter pieces fit the curve of the hatch bumper PERFECTLY!!! i think i may install my 91-92 accord front lip i snagged this weekend as well |

just hit up a junk yard, i guarantee theyll have them (literally EVERY 94-97 accord at my local junk yard did). theyre not exactly a high demand part (and its not like theres a shortage given EVERY accord came with them lol) |

mounted everything up, and no im not doing a write up. too much of a pain in the ass to mount all this stuff. none of it is easy to do, takes some creativity when coming up with how to get it all on the car.

already tried it with vinyl, looked stupid.
im evetually picking up some chuki skirts and kouki rear valances (actually kouki rear valances started on the chuki, hence why they follow chuki skirts so well) |

my housemate just got around to notching a '90-'91 accord front lip for his Silvia front end. came out super clean.
the only main difference is the "perimeter" of the Silvia bumper/fenders is shorter than my Chuki by a few inches, so he had to trim off about 2" on each side where the lip would otherwise overhang into the wheel well.

^correct. I have to say for all the flack you catch in some of the other threads I love the style of your hatch. Did you guys on the east coast have a junk accord laying around and just start robbing parts? Lol

starion wheels are pretty hard to find outright. the trick is to stalk craigslist for junk/inoperable starions and convince the owners to sell the wheels. just the rear wheels if possible. my collection of 12 rears = six SHPs and six base models are probably rotting somewhere on cinderblocks

^ which?
the 16s are 16x9 +0 Starion wheels. the 17s are 17x10.5 +20 Deep Dish '03 Cobra Reps. edit: btw, here's another recent pic of the car running the pig bumper/lip. the legacy skirts flow perfectly with the lip, dead on.

one major thing i wanted to add to the thread. i found that fitting the accord lip was kind of a pain in the ass around the sides, even if you cut notches in it. get yourself a heat gun and as youre bending it when screwing the lip in, heat the crap out of the plastic. this will help the lip conform A LOT better to the curve of the chuki bumper. the sides tend to buldge out a bit and the heat gun will help keep them uniform to the car.
i put the lip on BEFORE forming mine. after about 10-15 minutes of working with the heat gun after application, the lip conformed just fine after a little pushing and mending. it also helps after youve gotten it on the car to go back around the sides with the heat gun a few times, the lip will relax and reform its shape. |
