Hi, I searched.
I'm in the middle of my 5speed swap and was finishing up the last bit of wiring when I came to the automatic speed control device step.
Looking at this picture which isn't mine, it's another s14.

I noticed that I have the two connecters on the right but not the one blue one on the far left...where did that come from. This is needed to complete the clutch cancel switch...any help guys would be appreciated. -Chris

It's on the clutch pedal. If your pedal didn't come with a switch locate one, but the plug won't be in the car, the auto chassis isn't prewired for manual parts. You can use a pair of female spade connectors if you can't source a plug or just leave it and remember to brake before clutching when using the cruise.

ok, i'm sorry to seem like a n00b but I just don't get what exactly it is used for...? just to tell your car to decel when in cruise control once you hit your brakes?

I've also been told that you can short the circuit in the fusebox under the hood, but i'm not too sure which relay it is.

No, it's a cancel switch. It turns the cruise off. Otherwise as soon as you let off the brakes it would try to accelerate again. Same with the clutch, if you clutched in without the cruise canceling you'd redline the engine since there's no longer a load on the throttle.

As far as 'shorting the circuit', what exactly would that do besides disabling it altogether?

Ok, so what I'm gathering from you if I don't turn on cruise control this wont affect me correct? and instead of having to tap the brakes couldn't you just turn off cruise control by the button?

Correct. The cancel switches disengage the cruise. If the cruise is off it doesn't matter. The reasoning for having a brake cancel switch is so you can resume speed after slowing down instead of having to reset the speed.

gotcha thanks, i'm going to bypass that. everything is done now but the clutch just isn't engaging as smoothely as possible. I'm going to bench bleed the master cylinder then the slave again and see what happens.
