OP people prolly say that about 240s all the time.
Personal preference and how the car is done. These definitely can have the "old skool JDM" look, like the olld skylines. But they are old at the same time lol.

i <3 how people state that they like cressedas or whatev bc there arent alot of 4-door drift cars....

any manual transmission e-34 or e-39 bmw shits on those cressidas... guys like like to be different

guys in the sub $7000 used car market want something ''cool'' and ''different''

instead of saving up for some cool 4 door 'sporty car' like a 11 grand e34 m5 they find some stupid old slow toyota and try to make it cool bc its different.

"do it right or do it twice" dumb saying for a dumb car

Mine back in the day

There is no aftermarket support for them, therefore everything was very hard to find and custom make. For a young guy like me, it was to big of a challenge. It was super fun to slide though. I sold it and got a car with 500% aftermarket support, and 800% ripoff support, the S13.

It will be cool to a Toyota drift nerd who masturbates furiously to a poster of a Levin Corolla every night, but it will not be cool to the annoying mediocre girl you are trying to hook up with nor to any of your non-car friends who are into way cooler things like partying or pretending to be mature.
If you do not care about impressing any of the aforementioned persons, get one or don't, whatever floats your boat.

Obviously the one you posted sucks badly....besides i have many more choices available to go for cressida model. sure you can make them wild but i would rather go for a prius or a matrix rather than that peace of shit....

That car has been a staple in the drift society before I got to Japan in 96. Might not be cool in the states but they are cool here and I like them.

i've only seen one MX83 in Japan.

I'm a huge fan of JZX80/81/90/100/110, but not so much MX anything.

I believe a great way to increase driving skill and personal character is to start with a car that is worthless, with no merit. Learn how to drive it to the limit. Then graduate to a capable car. Kids that start out with a top car are not doing themselves or society any favors.

That said, Toyotas suck.

Thank you for saying it.

I don't get the Cressida fad either. It's cool that they're RWD and cheap, but lets not kid ourselves. They're pretty fugly.

HAYYYY, THAT'S MY CAR! .
I got the cressida because i needed a cheap daily because my superior race car above any car ever made, a 240sx, was just too fast and awesome for anywhere, so it sat on jack stands forever, so i found this cress for $700, then a friend of mine had euroline's sitting around so i threw them on and shook my dreads while i gost rid the whip. Drove it around pimp'n hoes and sippin' gin, then sold it for $2300 and bought alot of gucci shades. BURR.

Imo, like I've always said, they look like shit. Super 80s style all boxy and stuff. Might as well call a Maxima from the 80s cool too. Oh but the Cressy is rwd so it makes it so much cooler. It's kinda like that girl in high school who was ok looking, but because she showed a bit of skin and put out, it made her like 300% hotter hahaha. The Cressy trend is an interesting one.
Once in a blue moon you'll find one with sick fitment, but that's about it. The fitment distracts everyone else from the lameness of the rest of the car haha.

Definitely not a fan of the x83's. I like the x7's better.

Nobody has made a Cressida look really good yet... Serial Nine has done the best job and I do respect that build a lot...
