newbie post
My name is Tobey just got an S14 been hanging out with some of Arizona's AZ240 peeps for about six years.
Finally joined the wagon after my Toyota died. Joined here to research these fine cars so I prolly won't post much. If i do post a question it will have been google searched 1st. Just here to learn about the darkside nissan 1st rwd car I have owned. Got this S14 from some old guy that took care of it now I'm just doing cosmetic restore and suspension tweaks looking to use prolly a j30 diff and daily drive it. Not big into drifting seen lots of people crash and I'm out on that gonna build this car for grip if anything. Here are pics of my ride Another pic of my old Tercel swapped engine ect.... and the new S14 Oh no not another ricer!!! haha not a ricer FYI just A car guy that tweaks things to my likings is all. Welcome. I think there's an intro section if you haven't hit it up yet..
Theres a shit load of meets everywhere in LA and not limited to Zs or Silvias. I don't own a 240 yet but I'm interested in this meet: http://zilvia.net/f/south-western-st...boba-meet.html It's every Wednesday so I SHOULD be able to go next Wednesday if my car is back from the shop.

BTW, keep your Arizona registration/license if all possible. I'm from Cali but I don't attach Cali plates to my cars anymore.

But if i'm ever out that way I might stop in. We have something similar to that every saturday night then we get to hear all the ricer mustangs and camero guys rev their engines. |

My fault. I thought you were moving to LA. I believe I suffer from a bit of ethnocentrism.

I'm more impressed that you decided an a S14 as opposed to a Z34 since you are above 30. I'm getting there myself and sometimes I feel awkward hanging around younger 20-year-olds.

The miles AREN'T THAT BAD. I would probably do a tune up, fluids, check the rubbers (gaskets, hoses, etc), and change the timing belts.... that is if necessary.

The damn air filter was even new and the timing chain has already been serviced. I may need to recharge the ac but everything is great with this car. I will need to change the brakes as well but looking into the z32 or q45 upgrade when I do. |

or...
I think it's because it was owned by an old man. My friend bought an identical car as the OP's, but it was owned by an old lady. He got it for about 2k with 100k miles. Old lady was told it needed an engine, turned out it was something as simple as a plug, but either way an sr was bound to go in the bay....haha.
