How do you relieve the pressure off of the slave cylinder? I took the old one off, which was busted. I went to put the new one on but the little pushrod acts like it's .25 of an inch too long for what ever reason. I can't figure out how to pull back on the clutch lever to get the slave cylinder bolts started. What's the secret? Thanks in advance.

Open the bleeder bolt on the slave cylinder. Fully compress the piston by hand as much as possible. Then close the bleeder bolt and install the slave cylinder.

Re-bleeding means that the hydraulic has pressure to begin with.

How does the system have pressure when he unbolted the hydraulic line from the old slave and was never able to mount the new slave?

sometimes you have the aftermarket part that is not exactly the same as oem. if u tried compressing the slave already and it still doesnt fit, then look at the old slave and see if the rods are different sizes if so try taking the old one off and put that on the new slave.

That's what I figured. I would be impressed if he could swap slaves without losing hydraulic pressure.

turns out the pushrod was longer on the replacement. i simply used the old nasty one off the bad OEM one and put it in the new slave cylinder. thanks guys.
