AS OF RIGHT NOW da Jets DEF is the best in the league. They have given up a total of 10 points against 2 of the best offenses in football. They are the only D not to allow an offensive TD so far. Don;t get me wrong Baltimore's D is nasty but again AS OF RIGHT NOW da Jets have them beat in the D dept. Doesn't mean it's gona stay that way with TENN comin to town. We gota shut down Chris Johnson. Prove me wrong.... When ur DEF gives up 239 rushing yards and an average of almost 6 ypc then yea id say your DEF is pretty shitty. |

they played the texans, a team that hasnt even been to the playoffs and arent that good overall. they played the pats who have a QB with no confidence right now and they didnt even get a sack. jets are a very good team but no where near the best, i'd put em at #4 in the afc. and the colts D was obviously pretty good to keep miami from blowin them out of the game, colts offense only had 14:50 of total palying time..that tells u something

I blame the Dolphins O for being unable to score against the Colts D. All they had to do was keep it on the ground and it would have been a totally different outcome. Not to mention that ridiculous last 3:10 of the game. What the time of possession tells me is that Miami's DEF is fuckin awful!!!!! Peyton Manning had all day to throw and holes opened up everywhere for the running game and he just didn't need alot of time to make things happen for the Colts. So I am not giving Miami's DEF any credit at all for the lack of possession time for the Colts. |

All you look at is the numbers at the end of the day but you don't take the time to figure out the analysis of the numbers. to get 27 points in 14:53 of possession is insanity. All you know how to do is read the stat sheet but you are unable to break down those stats and give proof to what you are saying.

Im sorry niners D still gets my vote.
not that they are best in the league right now, but they are gonna be surprising alot of people around mid-end of the season. colts D looked good because miami looked bad. and the colts watched fuckloads of tape obviously. the jets lack experience in the secondary, trust me Im friends with one of their corners. but they looked good cuz once again the texans did bad

Colts front 4 were dominated by Miami, which does NOT have an explosive OFF. Teams are going to run the ball down the Colts throats all year.
Also Doogstein, It's only week 2 and youre already crowning the Jets the best. Wait till the season goes on. Jets started off pretty good last year too, and you saw what happened.

The pats need to get their shit together, ASAP. The Bucs? Ugh. I dont know wtf they were thinking firing everyone in the offseason, because it hasnt seemed to help...AT ALL.

HAHA me and my dad were just talking about that.
he said supposedly they may be getting one soon, I guess too many people have the same sentiments. Im really looking forward to seeing the Niners go up against Adrian Peterson and the Viks tomorrow. Im thinking since the D is used to going up against Gore who has a similar running style, so if they can manage to limit AP in any way then Im pretty sure favre is good for at least one pick 6.

Cali already has three NFL teams, do you really think another one is necessary?
I'm aware that Cali has four NBA teams....

Honest Question- If LA were to get a team, where would it come from? Would one of the existing teams move to LA, or would the entire NFL have to be reorganized? (or maybe just one of the divisions, and not the entire NFL.)

LA has had teams in the past and they didn't work out. The Rams and Raiders were both LA teams before moving to St. Louis and Oakland. I'm sure there has to be a good reason why there is no team in LA right now. I don't see it happening anytime soon either esp with the projected lockout of 2011.

First of all the raiders started in Oakland and then moved to LA in 82 and back in 95. Second the rams started in Cleveland and moved to LA in 1947 and then to STL in 95 also. LA needs a team because they are one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the united states, if not the biggest outside the tri-state area sprawl-wise. The reason they dont have one is that there isnt any place for a team, if a team was to start in La they would need all new facilities as Im sure USC has laid pretty solid claim to the coliseum at this point. The other issue is whether or not the NFL is ready for 2 more expansion teams. The next LA team would have to be an expansion team because I dont really forsee any teams moving without the city offering some serious compensation (more than said team gets already) and probably a whole new stadium. Another problem with the expansion team thing is that for there to be 1 new team there has to be 2 new teams (AFC-NFC obviously) and I dont know of anywhere else thats thinking of or can afford to start a team. Thats it in a nutshell, Im sure if you hear about someone trying to expand or move, LA is going to be hot on their tail
