SR S13 - Fired up for a second - died - no spark or fuel

Not getting spark of fuel to my SR swapped S13 Vert. I got in it this morning to go to work and it fired up for a brief second and died.

I jumped the fuel pump relay and the pump turns on. I tried starting it with the relay jumped and no beans. It's not getting spark either.

Where to start on this? I'm going over loose connectors and grounds. I have to download the FSM and see what I can find in there.

Matt

Check the CAS. Typically if you don't have spark or fuel it's a bad CAS or wiring to said unit.

i checked the cam sensor wires as per

being that they are the white and black wires on the plug closest to the front of the vehicle, assuming the tab on the photo is the tab on the plug facing toward the motor.

I'm getting a small fluctuation in the range of millivolts to zero voltage at all.

1 and 2 should be closest to the motor on the backside of the plug. You need to have it plugged into the CAS when testing this and the CAS needs to be out of the head unless you're using your motor to spin it? If you aren't getting anything, verify that you're actually hitting bare wire. I use a paper clip shoved in the back side of each terminal to test things like this. If you still have nothing, find a replacement or one from a buddy you can borrow to test.

I've got nothing more than a volt out of any of the terminals. Wiring looks healthy

Find another CAS to test it against.

I don't have any friends with Sr motors to test it against. I have to buy one. No other problems to check that would cause both spark and fuel to cut simultaneously?

unplugged, shouldn't there be a 5 volt reference coming out of the cas line? I don't seem to be getting more than a volt out of anything

I just put new coil overs on and my front tires are a little too big, I'm going to jack it up and examine the wiring harnesses that run in the wheel wells, maybe I rubbed through a wire?

Possibly, but you'd have more than just 1 wire rubbed through and other issues. Check your ECCS relay and appropriate fuses.

Sounds like you're not getting power to the CAS which comes from the EGI relay which is controlled via the ECU. ECU also controls the fuel pump relay so it sounds like you've got a dead ecu or it's not getting power.

The relay took a shit. So I have to pick one up today. It has a jumper wire right now so it's driveable. Thanks everyone!

First time I've ever had something so simple keep my car from running. I'm going to replace both green relays since they're the same age and it can't hurt
