Yeah, theres no way they can be that sizing with no concavity,

that would mean they would have like a HUGE BACK PAD. like 3" thick weighing a buttload.

i explained what i meant by concavity, and telling him if the rims curve in towards the center. he said it on a slight angle but nothing crazy.. so im guessing its slight but nothing like the cst's.

Those wheels rolled out of the exact same mold as the CSTs.

they in all likelyhood rolled out of the same company.

MB just buys shit in bulk and rebrands it. Way back when they started out they rebadged a bunch of Manaray wheels (had manaray still cast into the wheel with MB center cap), then the A-Techs (same as manarays), and now CST's. Nothing new.

the other MB's actually have no difference in concavity or appearance with the difference in offsets (competition & weapon).

From the front of the wheel ,they all look the same, this may also apply to this new one

Damnit! I was regretting the day this thread appeared, I work for DTC and have been keeping quiet on these wheels so they wouldn't be played out too bad when my car is back on the road. They are the exact same as CST's that people are paying ridiculous amounts for, there is a pretty limited stock in each size on these wheels in the country though, I might have to order another 4 for drift spares before they go on backorder just like weapons did...
255/40/17 RT615 for the front, 275's on the rear.

With 30mm front fenders they fit pretty flush with my tires/ride height

Lol at people thinking Motegis and CST's arent knockoffs as it is.
As stated above, their knockoff T7's.
The sizes are legit and their hot as all fuck.
I planned on getting CST's anyway, so im buying a set soon, forget all the haters.
If the cars legit, and you fit them like a man, its game.

I am SO happy right now. I don't give a shit if they're knockoffs or Advan T7's. An affordable track set is just what I needed.

These are really nice when done right.
Its a good wheel for a budget price.

A good alternative for the FN kids I would say.

Cst wheels look pretty gangster on the car. I would rock them in chrome.

Oh konig makes a XT7 knockoff now, but with no concavity. I gotta sell my xt7s now.

He was refering to Robby's post that said @ that size/offset, it had to be concave.

i see the pics, i see that they are concave.

My point was that MB wheels (weapon and competition) face dont change even though the offset does. the hub corn gets larger in depth.

Either way, Don't yell at me man. Just because i know about it doesnt mean that you'd catch me on gravity cast dumpster junk!

part 2 - we've all seen what happens to the barrel of a cast wheel versus the barrel of a spun AL barrel.... right?

yup what about it?

as long as you're not curb surfing at 80mph I don't see the issue.

I've always had cast wheels and i've only ever broken one. It took a side impact at 45mph to do it and even then, it still held air.
