JDM VLSDifferential how would you identify without the sticker?

how would you identify the differential that it is a JDM differential from a USDM differential and a welded differential..just by visual examination?

pls. advice im new to nissan.......thanks

A VLSD is a VLSD. There is no JDM or US, they're all made in Japan. Turn an output shaft, they will both turn the same way.

On a VLSD they turn the same direction, You can also hold one and spin the other in opposite direction, Some VLSD in better condition will be slightly harder to turn, If you cannot do this its upgraded or welded!

in my exeriences most Nissan VLSD pumpkins have fins on the bottom and rear cover, also the bottom of the rear cover bellow the bolts protrudes out farther than their opens, and the drain bolts are usually on the bottom of the pumpkin not the cover.
