some good take aways from this article:
-yes the parts are expensive, but the labor is where they really get you.
-cheapest parts are shared with VWs (like a $9 cam sensor, although 7.2k to replace all 4 on the car. LOL)
-2k per exhuast mani, 22k each in labor to replace. this does not sound like a fun car to work on.
-ECU is only 550. a bargain!
-42k in parts and labor for the fuel tank.

It took that long as Veyron fuel tank needs to pump fuel 8 times more faster than normal fuel tank (and with constant pressure up to 1.4G).
