Pignosecoupe, why don't you get together with iwishiwas-all and maybe you guys can do a show or something. I'll be sure to buy tickets and be ready to laugh my ass off. Be sure to add things about skylines and B-52 bombers in your material. I'll be offended if you don't. Man o man you guys are going to sell out for sure. I'll be sure to bring rotten flowers just for you because you helped me find that rusty I mean pimp ass Aerostar. Don't need to thank me, just returning the favor. If you want to make lame ass jokes like a little kid then I can play with you all day long. If not, just accept my apology and lay off. |

so, in US they make EXPENSIVE drag cars. so.... alot easier and CHEAPER to buy a z28 or cobra and put it in 10's. so, dont say they are BETTER drag cars. they are not. unless u mean BETTER=HIGH $$$$

For a daily driven drag car i wouldnt get domestic just because of the gas mileage. I wouldnt get a subaru for drag but rather for road race. The best daily driven drag car with good mileage would be a crx with an h22 low 13 high 12's stock and you still get 25-30 mpg and you can get it all done for less than 5000 dollars. Thats just me. But i still love my 240 sr.

^ Yes, I just sold my rb26 240 for 9k that ran less then high 11's. Just look for the indecisive people that "need" to sell a car fast.

Sure you can get the wrx for drag buy why? Its awd and handles great. You can easily hit 13's with a stock sr with little to no mods. You can get a 240sx for cheap and sr swap done right for 3500 or so including install. And thats only around 5000 all together. So since you have a $10,000 budget you have 5000 dollars to play around with so add it to your suspension and 3 grand to mess with the engine or looks.

[QUOTE]Do I own a 240sx? No. Did I say I wasn't EVER going to drift IF I ever was going to buy a 240sx in the first place? No.[QUOTE]
don't own a 240SX, don't want a 240SX, what I don't get is why you are on this forum in the first place, I would think it would be kind of pointless to log onto a Mustang forum and make a post about "I don't have a Mustang, I don't want a Mustang, What kind of car should I get" seems like a better question for some sort of general automotive forum... maybe I'm just not seeing something.

umm.. 240 isnt a good platform to make a "drag car" ...
jus go with an old domestic car, they have more power for the money. or jus go with NOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, but make sure the welds on your intake manifold don't blow, or else your floor pan will fall off. |

Oh, and as far as it goes for "selling out", I think you should read this... http://www.altx.com/ebr/ebr2/2berube.htm, maybe after you read it you will think twice about throwing a term like that around. Quote:
Sorry. |

for me, I had to decide between an LS1 and a 240sx. I'm not a huge Mustang fan and not a big Honda fan really. In the end I went with the 240sx.
you could have a mid 12 second 240sx that handles very good (much better than the LS1) for the same cost as an LS1. which will run mid 13s depending on how good of a driver you are. |

^ i think you need stop incriminating yourself of your own failure to understand the written material. you dont need to "handle better" for drag. why would you be happy about running 12s?? you can run 10s in ls1 with mods for alot cheaper than the price of 240sx shell and a motor of your choise. it is all about $/hp ration and you sir, are out of range.

i was talking about an all-around car man. he's only planning to run 12's so he doesnt need some crazy drag car and might as well get some handling while he's at it. if you're making a car for "only straight line/only drag" and only plan to run 12's then you're retarded.
how can you run 10s in an LS1 cheaper than a 240sx and a motor? I'd love to hear this. How much do you think LS1's cost? How much do you think a 240sx costs? |
