s13 N/a 300zx vlsd

So im deciding to buy the N/a 300zx VLSD for my S13. but i just want to know if anyone has any opinion about it. pro's and cons would be nice.

and for anyone who have used one before.. how did it work out for you?


or should i jst wait and save for some kaaz or cusco?

they suck when its really hot, and very cold. For the money, its not bad for a DD...if you're planning a serious build though, look elsewhere for an lsd other than nissans vlsd.

Do you have a VLSD in your car already? If so, why bother to swap it.

If not, then then nevermind. It's the same gear ratio as the stock S13/S14 VLSD (4.08) so it won't feel any different. Also I believe the axles are stronger (5 bolts vs. 3 sets of 2).

I prefer a VLSD over a welded diff, but some people will tell you differently. It's all up to you though.

I can't offer you any advice on the Cusco or Kaaz mechanical LSDs. I have never driven with one or had any experience whatsoever with them. But there must be something good about them.. Someone else will have to chime in for their experience there.

Its better than a open diff. and its good if u daily your car alot.

Most will tell you to save. But if you DD vlsd is fine and cheap. Depending of if you are looking for grip/drift look into hlsd and clutch type.

ohh ohright... well the VLSD i can get for cheap. cuz i got a co-worker who know somene that works at the junkyard so i think ima jst see how it works out... thnx for the feed back guys!!!
