Im tired and making this shit short.... Today i rented a movie like usual from redbox. Took it home and opened it.....
OHH HELL NO... Some one swaped original dvd with some bull shit blank cd WTF!!!! mother truckers swaped the inner sticker, the one that redbox reads. That shit got me mad. Ill go over details tomorrow.

They will more than likely give you some coupons for your trouble. It's a common scam to use a fake CC to check out the movie or game then photocopy it and put the paper in there to fake out the machine. It would be stupid to do this without fake info as you scan your CC to sign up.

Yeah, they will send a hold command to the box and it will hold onto it till the next time the tech comes to service. Same thing as when you say the disc was scratched.

i've heard of people renting movies from there and using a pre-paid credit card and not returning the movies at all. So people would have 20$ on a pre-paid credit card and rent 5 movies, in turn get 5 movies for 20$? anyone else hear of people doing this?

from what i understand redbox will not allow you to rent if they cannot pull your information when you swipe your card. i just opened a new bank account and was trying to rent a movie with the temp debit card they gave me and it wouldnt let me. so i called redbox and this is what i was told. which makes sense so people dont try to steal the movies like mentioned above.
