Apexi Power FC boost controller kit (not AVCR)
Alright I know someone knows something about this but for some reason I can't find anything online. Forgive the shitty search skills if so. Just link the thread or something.
Ok so I have the apexi boost control kit. The manual is in japananese so its no use. I have a power fc d-jetro for my sr20 already. So the kit comes with 2 things: a pressure sensor and a solenoid. I believe the sensor is the same one used with the d-jetro power fc and therefore don't need it. Confirm if this is true. Now the solenoid that controls boost has a two pronged electrical connector and I have no idea what it goes too or where to splice it. From what I've been seeing on the internet and other forums it connects to the factory boost control system. I dont have that since I got the sr20 and swapped it in. So where do I put it? Does it need to be spliced into the ecu? Also where do the vacuum lines go. There's 3 vacuum lines that need to be hooked to the solenoid. One looks optional as it didnt even have the niple connected to it out of the box. I have an internal wastegate on my gtx2860r gen 2 turbo btw. I will have pictures below of the kit. Thanks. Im not 100% but
https://www.wiringspecialties.com/ecu-pinouts/ Lookup the ecu your sr came with and find the pin for the boost control solenoid. I dont want to give misinformation, so as far as to which wire goes to the ecu pin and which wire goes to +12v or ground i dont know. Id think red would go to ecu power wire and brown would go to the ecu signal wire. But again, i dont know for sure. You could look through the fsm wiring diagrams and see how its wired You dont need to hook up the additional MAP sensor, you have a spare now. For internal wastegate youll run the lines like the top diagram: |

Red is power signal i believe. and brown is ground from what i recalled. I had the same issue where i could not find which wire goes where a few years ago until I learned that the plug was suppose to connect to the where the original OE solenoid that it plugs in. You'll have to splice it. For the 62/63 ecu its the 111 pin and orange/black wire. This is where you splice the red into the orange/black wire. As for Brown, you can just ground it.
