Dutch 2JZ S14 swap project

Hi im Dennis from the netherlands, im sorry for my bad English but its not my first language.
I own a s14 from 1995, and i bought the car 7 years ago. The car had some changes in the couple of years see the pics below

in holland we can order a mcburnout.

I had some fun these years with racing and drifting, but i got some problems with the sr20 (at that time +-320bhp)
I bought a lexus gs300 with a 2jz swap and fell in love with the 3L twin turbo. so much power an torque.

So i was making some plans with Niels en Rick (they build also the car of joes)
(see his topic http://zilvia.net/f/chat/345784-niss...-widebody.html)

and make a new fresh build car from the bottom up. With a serious safty cage and custom made wheel tubs, so we can make a backwards entree in drifting

So i bought a 2jz-gte with a getrag v160 gearbox, the engine is a japspec engine complete stock with upgraded clutch. Got also a Holset hx40 turbo that is running at 1.5 bar a +- 700hp on a 2jz, but for troubleshooting we choose the stock twins first

A front sump is needed to clear the front crossmember.

so let the project begin... stripping.... sr20det out bye bye bye

alot of parts on the ground... it's must all be emty for the cage.

a very nice part comming in. the engine mounts for the 2jz

lets test fit the engine mounts

suceeded! porn!

Now its time to go the builder of the safty cage.

sketch of the cage.

Looking good so far!!!

Not sure if you know but a tip i learned the hard was on my 2j swap!

If you use non turbo 2jz-ge oil filter housing and 2jz-ge water pump outlet pipe it cleans alot of the stuff up around the block that you dont need! Made my bay look alot cleaner!

Good luck with the swap!

Have a thing called trucks and SUV's

And a lot of the trailers in North American are steel and heavy enough to carry equipment, most of the EU trailers I see in pictures are lightweight aluminum car trailers.

Here's an example when I had to deliver a 180 shell

mmm oke i see,
that kind of trucks are in the netherland really expensive in tax(i know its a shame), so you do'nt see them often. and over here you need a special drivers licente to drive with a trailer.

Pulling a car with a car is cool, but I wouldn't be confident in the power or braking. In that truck I pulled my car (different car) with that trailer uphill doing 160 km/h without trying too hard. Pretty impressive considering it's a completely stock truck and an econobox car would have troubles doing that speed up the hill, obviously without pulling anything.

But anyway, back to your build, I will deff be following it.
