Hip hop fans...

So this is an album created by a friend and I, would appreciate it if you fellas gave it a listen and a download if it's something you're in to. Produced by me (Authentic), emcee is my friend (RaeL). We're from Seattle and this is something we've been working for a substantial amount of time. This is our first release so I'm just trying to spread the word and get our music out there. This is music with substance, as well as a little grittiness here and there.

First track (album link below):

>>>RaeL & Authentic - Covered By The Clouds // Free Mixtape @ DatPiff.com<<<

Much thanks and let me know what you guys think!

Influences: Lupe Fiasco, Blu, Kanye West, Pete Rock, Dj Premier, J Dilla

damn man. Pretty good not going to lie. I'm more old school, late 80's early 90's kind of listener. With the exception of the memphis horrorcore rap (old old 3-6 mafia etc.) When shit was good. I think rap died around 1997 for the most part. I wont get into how much eminem, lil wayne, 50 cent etc completely suck ass. But I know the genre will make a come back. Keep it up, I could see this being on the radio. It's catchy to.

Thanks guys, glad you like. Bosshogg I'm a 90's listener myself, and try to pay homage to that era with my production.

Im feeling it man. Dudes style kinda reminds me of Stalley or early Lupe Fiasco, and that Marvin Gaye sample flows well with the instrumental. Good work.

wish it would make a comeback, but sadly it probably won't and if it does, it wont be for a while..

Everything seems to be shifting towards house style music.

IMO that was pretty bad. Different beat, better delivery, better mixing/mastering and you might have something.

But then again, I HATE the sound of white rappers.

I'm really diggin' this. In a way it reminds me of The Catalyst if they spit faster.
But then I think it's maybe just the beat.

Well thats his influences, I try to get him into the older shit but he doesnt really try. I love the older artists as you can tell from my producer influences but what matters most is that we are trying our best to stick to real hip hop and not some fabricated bull shit.

Thanks for the props fellas.
