I'm helping my son rebuild his SR and have found that we need to have the block bored due to egg shaped bores on cylinders 2$3. The shops I have used for my mod motor machine work are competent but do not have a torque plate for boring and honing an SR.

I would prefer to find a shop within driving distance (Pittsburgh, Erie, Cleveland, Akron). Any recommendations...good or bad.

Check out MA Motorsports. They are near Baltimore.

I know you said that you wanted to do it with in driving distance, but you can always send it out to mazworx in florida there a great reputable shop for sr20s.

Street Lethal Performance in western PA. (north of Pittsburgh). Has started doing import engine work. I have used them for work on my mod motors in the past. I contacted them last week and they are having a torque plate made for the SR block and will be doing the machine work on my sons block.
