Without looking into details, I agree the Krom probably isn't worth it.
Base model seems the most appealing so far imo.

I think the base model's look has more character anyways.
Krom parts can be thrown on later, if needed be.

I'm not feeling the chrome shit. I was looking at the New Jetta's and was not happy till I saw a GLI with the blacked out front.

the whole dam car is ugly as fuk. I do not think this car will make a lot of sells. But i could be wrong and this could be the next gay scion xb import trend.

Ya and that guy is an idiot in my opinon. The Fit is a completely different style of car. LOL its like the fuck head never drove the 1st gen XB. Can you say no storage room? Can you say drove like a bus and is slow as shit? Plus the 1st gen XB and the Yaris are weird with the whole Toyota small car gauge cluster in the center of the dash to the right or left of the driver depending on the country its in.

Sum it up Jalopnik reviewer should stick to reviewing sport compacts and sports cars and pocket rockets. As he seems to be completely clueless to the type of buyer that will jump all over the Cube and love it.

XB buyers while liking other cars were quite at home with the limitations and differences of the 1st gen XB. In fact it did not deter them at all from buying it. In fact I have a close friend who was a 1st gen XB owner and imported and sold parts for them and she loves the CUBE!

not sure if i would actually buy it.

i think i'd look into a used cooper S before.

I thought it was a reasonable review. It's not like the reviewer spent too much emphasis on the Cube performance capabilities. In fact, if anything there wasn't enough detail with regards to the Cube driving characteristics. All I got from the article was 'bouncy suspension' and '0-60 in 9.3 secs'.

Lot more attention was given to the car's interior, design, and comfort.

I think the Fit comparison is fairly valid as the Fit is more or less a benchmark for the 15k, practical econo-box car. The Fit drives well for it's class, and serves its purpose well in areas it claims to. Both cars might attract slightly different buyers, with the Cube catering buyers more inclined to a certain look/image sought after by potential Xb/Xd customers, but there are probably a lot more similarities & overlap than differences.

Price between the Fit and Cube are about the same, both are fwd econoboxes w/ a good deal of storage space, better than average fuel economy. The Fit seems to be also marketed towards a younger crowd.

Anyhow, for an internet review, I think Jalopnik does an ok job. It addresses most of the questions I have for the Cube. I'd like to have more specs and info about the car, but then again I would only expect that from a more professional mag.

I ordered mine October of last year. I've been keeping in touch with Nissan up until now and I have the first 1.8SL ordered (not here yet though -_-). The Cubes will be out for the public around late April/early May. If you guys want some info about the cube, I'll be willing to share them. I do agree the the Krom is not so good and I do agree with alot of people when they say the 2nd gen Cube was better... This 3rd gen should be fun!
