Well dont bitch too much. I was paying around $7.50 a gallon for gas here in Okinawa. On base gas sucks, so a lot of us suck it up and pay to play.

Why is Florida so cheap? Is it like their way of bribing people to live there?

Gas prices are about the same as they were last year this time, big deal, we still pay piss nothing compared to the rest of the world on gas.

I remember filling up my first car for $1/g or less.

Port everglades. The access point for all the shipping vessels. It's literally 10 min away.

You guys have to pay for the fuel to get to you.

And I wasn't aware people needed to be bribed to live in a better place.

I love how everyone says oh well, we are catching up with the rest of the world.
The rest of the world has better cars with better fuel economy. Even their diesels get better ratings and power than us. Plus why would WE want to be like the rest of the world. If you know your history, we were founded on the principal of being different than the rest of the world.

oh gas here in colorado is anywhere from 3.45 to 4.05 It sucks because the week before the blizzard (probably 3 weeks ago now) gas was at 2.45 for mid-grade.

We have three of the biggest ports in the country though: long beach is like the fourth or fifth biggest in the country, then you have LA, and then you got the yay rrreah with all it's ports Oakland Richmond etc. Besides aren't most fuel refineries located in Texas? Wouldn't that make Texas the cheapest and not florida?

As for the bribing ppl to live there... I'm sorry man it's pretty and all, but fuck that humidity, I'd rather move back to so cal.

I moved from Miami, Fl to Rio Rancho, NM 4 months ago and won't look back. I seriously doubt Florida has cheaper gas then most of the other states. I pay now $3.90 for 91 octane. The Humidity in Florida sucks balls, here we have almost no Humidity. you don't have to worry about walking outside and start pouring in sweat haha. Last year I was paying $4.20 + for 93 in Miami.

I filled up on base out here Langley AFB, VA...3.99 for premium. $4.08 off base. That was friday. Gas went up another 6 cents over the weekend.

All you guys bitching about gas prices...itll keep going up. Its not even Memorial Day Weekend yet...thats when it spikes up the most since Summer officially starts.
