Can someone else make a actual thread that explains how/ and what you need to for the 1jz swap. Maybe somebody like BigMike? This guy basically didn't help at all. He just posted a thread with pics of cars his shop did lol.

LoL I did a 2jz swap but for the most part I think its all the same stuff to do the swap.

My Build Thread
http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=488537

Flicktitty also has an amazing build thread and is also the creator of the JZ S-Chassis Swap thread

Build thread:
http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=223490

Sticky Thread:
http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=384161

Then there is Di-Devol's 1JZ S13 build which is also amazing and probably has all the info you need
http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=438157

1jz vvti turbo torque specs

Installed this 1jz vvti Tomei arms 8280 turbo kit today:

Haven't run it yet obviously because I'm still completing my build, but the turbo seems like a nice piece and the kit itself fit flawlessly. For others reference, I figured I'd share this torque spec sheet included in the instructions (note that these are in n*M):

Didn't realize there was a 1J swap thread and was just using the 2J thread. I'm writing a tutorial to go along with my swap I suppose I will post here instead of making another thread.

Good stuff so far, I should be done by April or so at this rate...a little slow due to the cold and 9-5 life.

We should just get the name of the other thread change to "JZ Swapped S-Chassis Thread."

This thread had potential but went downhill really quickly.

I agree with you.

Mods, is there anyway we can lock this thread and rename the 2J thread to keep it all in one place?

I'm new to JZ engines, I got this vvti 1JZ in a trade for my entire SR20 setup and I've been working on it for a couple months now, it's almost ready to run for the first time. I'm using a CD009 transmission, stock turbo, MAF, injectors, ECU, etc. I will get my AC going ASAP and this will be a car built for Lone Star Drift down here in Texas. Checking in!

Wow that is great, quality build! I already wish I went a little more in depth like you did to clean everything. Sort of wish I went with the cd009 too.

You'll do better with cooling if you mounted the fans 1/4" to 1/2" away from the radiator on an aluminum shroud so that they actually pull air through the entire radiator surface, and not just through the diameter of the fans.

I'm probably going to move everything forward and run a clutch fan

edit: I cut the core support and i'm moving the radiator and AC condenser forward

Dean, did you get the full SC300 fan and fan clutch? I cant tell in the pics, but is it offset to the side like all JZs?

I am going through with my swap and was curious what all was needed. Did you go SR rad?

Yes its offset, you have to use a MK3 supra fan shroud on the SR20 radiator. I pulled my SR for this JZ so I already had the SR radiator. Koyo triple pass, amazing radiator btw!
