Anyone up for some grip/drift action at HTM?? dec.1
The date has been set and the track reserved! We are hosting an open track day at the challenging Horsethief Mile course at Willow Springs International Raceway, on December 1st, a Saturday. This is not a timed event or a competition. This is an opportunity to drive your car on a real track as fast as you're comfortable, without the worries of traffic, cops, or curbs.
There will be three run groups: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Regardless of your run group you will have 2 and a half hours of track time. Beginners are not allowed to have passengers for the first half of the day; all other run groups can have passengers. There will be no passing allowed for the beginner group. All other groups must have a "point-by" and pass in a safe manner. As this is not a competition, we will not tolerate anyone breaking the passing rules or passing in an unsafe manner. Anyone breaking the rules will be kicked off the track, no exceptions! This is for the safety of everyone on the track...our goal is to have fun and "keep the shiny side up". for drifters no noobs to drifting must have exp. drifting tracks All cars must pass a tech inspection at the track. Below is our tech requirements: Overall No fluid leaks All wires/hoses secured Throttle return spring tight Battery properly secured Battery positive terminal covered (tape ok) Brake pedal pressure firm Working brake lights Wheel bearings tight Steering tight All lug nuts present and torqued to spec SA-95 or newer helmet (motorcycle helmets ok) If you are running street tires More than 2/32" of tread If you are running race tires No cuts or cording There are two ways to pay for the event. We are charging $100 per driver, which can be dropped off at our shop to reserve your spot. Or you can pay through PayPal to [email protected]. If paying through PayPal, please send $110. The extra $10 is to cover PayPal fees. Regardless of how you pay, your entry fee is 100% refundable up until 2 weeks from the event. After this time we will not issue refunds, but will credit you towards a future event. Willow Springs charges $10 at the gate on weekends for EVERYONE coming into the track...this is above and beyond the entry fee we charge.
