SR GT2835r Turbo issues..

I don't want to be a pain to anyone, but I've been searching for days for somewhat of a solution to this problem, Im fairly new to the turbo world, and a week or so after getting a SR20, I noticed smoke (white) coming from the exhaust, later on in the evening I found a little puddle of oil underneath, after looking under the hood, i found oil around the turbo along with residual coming from the BOV, today I took off the intake pipe and found oil as well, along with the charge pipe coming from the intercooler. other than the smoke and the oil leak underneath you couldnt tell anything was wrong, it was still boosting at 12psi. The previous owner said turbo was just rebuilt a month or so back..

I just want to pull my hair out already, can anyone help me figure out anything?!

Like I said, Im fairly new to the turbo scene, so if you decide you want to be an epic douche, by all means, go ahead.. Thanks!

your turbo seal is probably blown.

Either that ^ or you're getting blow-bye and have a small oil leak on the oil return. I'm leaning towards blown seals but it won't hurt to make sure your turbo lines are good. For the blow-by do you have a catch can? If not wouldn't be a bad idea to get one.

Wow.

Just asked the previous owner, he says no blow by or catch can...could that be the issue?!

That could be the issue with oil in your intercooler piping. I know once I raised the boost over stock I was having blow-bye so installed a catch can and problem was solved. And I wasn't filling up my catch can. But as for the oil on the ground that's something that you'll have to look further into.

turbo bearing seal could be bad. before condemning the turbo, install a .030 inch restrictor on the turbo oil inlet. that might stop excessive oil from leaking past thru the turbo shaft bearing seal and into the compressor. you can buy restrictors from turbo dealers online.
