--Ford Probe GT / MX6:
The 4 cyl. is too weak to even compare, the 6 is still an easy car to spank.. But I love the sound of that Japanese V6! It's FWD! ugh.

--Mazda Miata (kind of):
Out handles all but HICAS equipped (stock) cars, FR config, so it has that going for it.. A little slower, but a great platform, like the 240sx

--Honda Prelude:
Great car, great engine, high quality bla bla... But after driving some (92 Si 92 base and 98 SH), I still take my 240. Prelude does handle nice for a frontdigger.. But I shy away from Honda, because it's hard to keep it from looking ricey. (seen some really nice hondas though!)

--Toyota MR2:
Well.. The turbo version is more comparable to an actual K's Silvia, but it's a small, RWD sports car.. NEVER driven one, but I wouldn't mind owning one.. Pretty #### nice car.

--Mitsubishi Eclipse (hmm non turbo for most of us hehe):
Non turbo is a joke. Car weighs more than my s14, and has a NEON engine! ugh.. GS-T and GSX are pretty #### nice, gotta love the watered down lancer evo engine... Still a lancer evo engine... and I'd take a GSX no prob... But I don't like the weight of the car, or the domestic feel of it...

--VW Golf GTI (2.0 4):
Not comparable... I could spank a modded one (I/E/other stuff) in my 92 S13 with a bad clutch and bald tires haha... I just put it up here, because Golf GTI owners will tell you it's in the same class. VR6 is still not in the same class, but it's fun... so who cares =)

--Civic Si:
See above... Still an econocar, but a nice one... I'd take one as a daily driver, but I wouldn't put any money into it.

--Chevy Camaro V6:
HAHA just kidding!! Domestic V6s are crap. (unless turboed)

JUST MY .02! Don't git pissed at me =)

Oh yeah stang... 94-98 is fun to dick with... that whopping 10 second 0-60 is tough to beat.
99+ V6... Looks like they finally got a V6 sports car to hang with a stock automatic Maxima GXE.. impressive.

thanks koukis14, that was the kinda comments i was looking for. i drove a turbo mr2 in the rain before n i really had to work hard to keep it under control if i wanted to push it at all. i guess it's just cuz the engine ain't in the front so i wasn't used to the feel of the car, only drove it once.

I've heard from a few people now that MR2's don't really handle all that well... I thought Mid engine design was supposed to help with handling...

i don't know maybe it should, i mean my car was RWD, but this felt pretty different. in my opinion, i think u just gotta get the feel of it probably to handle it well.

they do handle nice...
the top gear man did a review of it, he said for the price and looks of a toned down porsche, ur definitely gonna get the feel of a porsche, or some crap, but yea, it handles, not that much power thou, so he used ebrake for oversteer
lemme go watch it a few more times hehe

There was a golf GTI 1.8T 20V 4cyl at the dyno today that put down 181HP and 203 lb/ft torque, pretty impressive for a veedub.

Not a prob blank... hehe
I dunno.. the Probe GT is supposed to be pretty comparable... But they're too slow... I'm not some expert driver, but I can beat 'em. =)
I like the sound of 'em though... and the way the tires look from the back.. nice and wide.. But my 205 series tires can still take 'em haha

hhmm didnt read the post before the "i thought mr2's were supposed to handle well" one
yea, old mr2's had snap oversteer problems where the momentum of the heavy back would cause the engine to hella fishtail even if u werent going that fase
but they fixed it in the later models...
and prolly int he newest model too

It may be that he has about 3 times the experience I do, but I got a Probe GT consistently handing me my ass in autox STS. Also in my defense, he does have a little more done to the car than I do.

i don't think i'd ever get an mr2 turbo w/ all the other cars out there that there r. i really think i'd end up wrecking it, just didn't like the feel of it, plus i need a lot more driving experience w/ driving a rwd car neway.
