It's 70 am, and I'm driving my mom to some management class she's taking. I park on the city streets of Chicago, and parallel parking with numerous other cars is an accepted fact. Very often, people park so close that it's virtually impossible to get out of the spot. And they bump your car, yadda yadda...
Anyway, so we're getting into the car, and my mom goes to me:
"Did you see the way this guy behind you parked."
I'm like, "No, I don't really care."
She says: "He's sitting on your car."
So I get out, and this guys license plate and the screws that are holding it dove into my bumper and pushed on my car. The rear end of the car is totally risen up. So I look behind him and there's like three feet of space. So, I get in the car, put down the E-Brake, move the car a little, go back there, and there are huge f'n screw marks and scratches from his license plate. I also notice that there's a big chip of paint missing on my left bumper-corner and that there's some red paint marks and that the rest of my bumper's paint is cracked. His truck is red, and he's got a little mark where he drove onto my bumper. So... I take my nice little Nissan Key and write
####### on the hood of his car, and take my car to see how much would it cost to fix my shiznit, and the body shop quotes me $300. The plastic has been cracked and the paint can't be touched-up. The whole bumper has to be re-painted if not replaced.

So, bash at me and tell me I was wrong to do this?

"u were wrong to do this " seriously though, i would've left the car how it originally was, took his plates down n call the cops to take a look at it so they knew it was his fault.

While your mom's at her management classes, I think you need to attend some anger management classes.

Should have gotten a cop involved right there and not have moved a thing,so his insurance could have paid for it. Now your the one paying for the bumper not him. Atleast you got some revenge but seriously you need to settle down, if you got caught keying a car a cop would'nt care what he's done to your car you would be the one in trouble.

Good on ya. I saw a guy pull up next to mine ( in a brand new nissan micra in a retail carpark outside my work years ago ) and they all bailed out.
He hit his door so hard against mine it was like my car was just an object like a tree or a lampost not a persons property.
Total lack of respect for me and my property. He obviously thought no-one was watching.
When they`d gone i went over and sat in my car and left the door open. I took out a Stanley blade (for cutting carpets) and dug a deep slash into his door.
Anybody who shows you or your property no respect deserves any backlash coming there way.
And YES my door was dented!

Its one thing saying claim off his insurance but like the judicial system in general justice is not always dealt.
If you CAN get away with it an eye for an eye will make you feel a whole lot better. If you CANT get away with it bring the police and insurance into it. Either way make that f**ker pay! Or be a sap and be crapped on all your life. I hope those key marks were nice and deep S13grl!

Dave, thanks for understanding. You can only take so much. The other morning I woke up to find my whole quarter panel dented and scratched. Then today, I see a car pushing mine in a parking spot... and not giving a shit about it either. And police dont' care about it here. I asked them to fill out a police report for me when someone broke into my car and they told me I was wasting their time and that I'd get nowhere with it since I had liability only. So... you figure it out...

i agree dave n irena. i mean i'd probably done the same thing in both of ur situations if i was actually there, but obviously i wasn't so i just say what u SHOULD do. just like last weekend somebody cut my strings off of my guitar n i actled like i didn't notice n walked away so he found the right sleeve of his jacket cut off w/ beer spilled all over it, thing is he's like 16 years old (not like i'm much older) n i could've easily kicked his ass, but this was better n plus i couldn't get it trouble.

Thats the thing, you had him caught in the act. You should have treated like it was a auto accident. If a car came barreling into your car at 30 miles per hour while it was parked, would you get in and drive off mad and pay for the damage? No you would have stayed and the person that ran into your parked car would have payed for it. Now if a person runs into your bumper at 2 miles per hour and leaves how is that any different? Don't give me the cop's don't care BS. If thats the case you need to move where there isn't complete anarchy. Either way if you stayed you stood a chance of the other person paying, now you have no chance and by the sound of it, keying his car did'nt make you feel much better (ie. your still angery) Of course when i get pissed i do some crazy shit to.

P.S. so far I got you down for reckless driving (ramming a car) Assault (kicking a guy in the nads) and now vandalism (keying a car) your awesome

Yeah if his car wasn't still actually on your car then I would have gone nut's on his car, but the fact that it was still laying on your bumper is why I think you could have gotten his insurance involved.

Personally, I would have driven to the store, gotten a gallon of gasoline, and poured it over the guy's car, and torched it. THEN I would have gone to my anger management class.

Actually, I don't have a problem with this, being I'm in Arizona, but since I have a truck, I would have backed into him and beaten the shit out of his car with my bumper.

I would have probably gone the police route, but I'll tell you that if I didn't, I would have WRECKED his truck. Find the smallest window on the thing and bust it. That's good for 300 dollars right there. Take off my socks and shove em up in the tailpipe, piss in the gas tank if it wasn't a lockable one... Well you get the point. I've got a lot of stress, and I would have taken it all out on his truck.

Well , I probably would have taken his license plate and then gone to the nearest police station and made a hit and run report.
Anyways I know how you feel Irena . I live in Los Angeles and it seems like people down here don't give a shit about opening there doors on your car in parking lots. I must have picked up three new dings in the last week . My car is in cherry condition too. It only has 19,000 miles on it .
I have just resigned myself to the fact that I am going to repaint the whole car when I put on my 96 jpsec 180sx front bumper with integral spoiler and my custom rear lip .

Yeah, I really don't think I would have written ####### across the hood. I prefer subtle "getting evens". Being from Idaho, potatoes up the exhaust are always fun. Although I did punch the door on this Jeep that totally blocked the entrance to one of the parking lots near NAU. Plenty of spaces, yet she had to park where there wasn't a space. Moron. So, I felt justified in punching her door.

Oh yeah, in high school, some people would take up 3 spaces to park (you know, parking sideways or slanted), and we'd get about 4 guys and lift the rear end, or the front end of their car so they were stuck in the grassy median of the parking lot. It was heavily sloped for drainage. Hella funny.

Ooh, guys... you need to live in Chicago and try and report an accident here. Honestly, the cops would have told me to buy a bottle of touch-up paint and consider it taken care of. That is NOT gonna happen.
I don't have a penis, so pissing in his gas tank wasn't an option. I think writing "#######" on his hood compensated for it, he definitely needs a new hood now, those scratches are pretty deep.
Also, the guy doesn't live in my area, I never saw that truck here before.
I have major control over my anger, and I let go of stuff all the time. I wasn't too pissed about someone denting my quarter panel, was I? No, cause I didn't know who it was. Okay... I guess that doesn't really count. But... this guy set himself up for disaster; he left the car there, parked like that. I wasn't gonna call the cops so they can give him a $20 ticket for improper parking and tell me to go get touch-up paint and suck it up, no. Writing ####### on his hood is a much more effective way. Slashing his tires or breaking his window/s would be a more extreme thing to do...
I learned that eye-for-eye was the best way to go around this area: I've had my car broken into, dented and bumped and scratched, my sideview mirror broken because someone tried to steal the blind-spot mirror... I mean, come on! You're setting yourself up for disaster if you leave your car pushing on mine without an apology note or anything. Honestly if he'd apologized, I would have said: alright, who the fuck cares, i'm painting my car anyway. But... you know...

ACTUALLY...........if you live in chicago the cops are pretty much a joke about that stuff. and i agree with irena.

but it is a lil dangerous say if someone else saw you or he did. maybe this guy coulda been nuetered, then what would you have done?

still i dont think she would have gotten to far with the cops and insurance and the whole ordeal. its just like that in the city even if yuou park outside for a day.

i once had my sentra parked on fullerton and hamlin left to a club came back went home my mom walks in my room the next mornin and saya are you ok? i was like yeah. turns out my pass side was hit from the rear quarter panel to the front fender! police wouldnt have done nothing and insurance we still would have to pay. not the same circumstances but its the principle.

actually instead of slashing his tires carry a valve core screw with you to take out just the core fromn his valve stem then put his cap back on while its still inflated park and watch him drive away. ohh that is evil! ah ah ah haha haha ha ha ha h
