I'm looking to buy a used VLSD. The one i'm looking at has about 150K miles on it. Is that too much? Does it matter? Also, is there any way I can visually tell the difference between an open diff and a VLSD? Not that I have any reason to doubt the seller, but I'd just like to be sure.

spin the shafts..

yes miles matter..they can wear out and become weaker...

So, besides changing the seals, bushings, and fluid, is there anything else I should change or look for?
