Just a welded diff and taiwanese coilover. Trust me its hard, I am not too bad at handling underpowered car I think you know that, haha! I could link the whole course with the 140hp miata tho, sometimes its about the weight and setup. And my definition of linking realy means 0 understeer, not even a bit of it, always from lock to lock transition, or almost.

Its harder in a stock ka 240( like the one Charles just explained) than a 140hp miata. Trust me. A 140hp miata can do alot..

Awesome event, awesome pic's.
Thanks for the shot's Jason. Big track was so much fun, 2,3,4th shifting was sweet. But it spoils you. You can run the small course all day on one pair of tires. Then i got to the big track 3-4th plus big smoke = bye bye rubber =( lol Think i'm just gonna stick with roadracing, way cheaper.....so when the next one lol I think i'm going to host a event at HTM soon, never ran it before and heard it's the shiz so i'll keep u guys posted =)

In case you haven't read.
from Hiro Inada, JDMOption.com Hello everyone, First of all, thank you for your participation in this event, and we again apologize for no show of GoGo Daijiro Inada this time due to his unexpected happening. He is sure to attend the next event on Aug.1, at the same location. It was a great turn-out over 130 drivers, and almost same number of accompanied guests, which made its total number of attendance over 300 people, including staff and coaches. Moreover, it was the best driving condition with no sunshine, no rain. Seven vendor booths were also available to ask any questions on their products. All 60 drift drivers enjoyed beginners’ courses, an intermediate and a high speed entry and big turn advanced courses. And 30 grip beginner drivers received seated lecture on the basic technique and information about sports driving by Hiro Sumida, professional driver & coach, and started their practice at the grip beginners’ course. Then they joined to the advanced high-speed grip course. We found it’s necessary to prepare one more advanced grip course for the next time, since there happened a slightly long waiting time over 20 minutes. However, we still hope all grip drivers got enough run time in one whole day. Since this event was sanctioned by D1 UNDERGROUND, Ross Petty, Drifting Main Instructor, D1/Formula D Pro Driver, selected 3 drift drivers who could directly entry into the D1 driver search. 3 drivers are Charlie Ng, Nick Hogan, and Jeffrey Guillotte. Congratulations!!! There were 3 big raffle prizes; A SET OF SWIFT COILOVER SPRINGS, GREDDY INTELLIGENT INFORMETER TOUCH, and BLITZ i-BURNER ILLUSION, all $400 value items. All products including ENEOS oil were given to winners, regardless of their presence, and apparels and accessories were chosen to only who were present at the drawing. Thank you again for your participation in this event, and we hope your appearance in our DAI’S DRIVING ACADEMY 3 on Aug. 1, 2009 at the same location, Ex-USMAC Air Station at El Toro, Irvine. GoGo will be sure to be present in the next one, hopefully with his new? machine, 73 CELICA with SR20DET, tuned by GARAGE BOSO. Besides all participants and guests, without support and help from following companies and individuals, this event could not have been successful. We appreciate great assistance from Shogun Style Performance, Garage Boso, Hiro Sumida, SR MotorCars, H & D Racing, Adam Nguyen from OC Porsche Driving Club, Adams Motorsports Park, Discount Tire Centers-Long Beach and Lake Forest, El Ojo de Agua(Thank you for great tacos!!), Swift Springs USA, Greddy Performance Products, Blitz Performance Sales, Nippon Oil USA(ENEOS), Tomei Powered, Car Studio(D-Max), Hitachi Automobile Products (TOKICO), Sun Automobile USA, Vertex USA, 5Zgien USA, Nukabe Automotive(CUSCO), and INGS USA. Hiro Inada D's Club Inc. **Check out the new thread of the next event!!! also, please send an email with any suggestions you might have to make the next event even more successful. send them to [email protected] |
